The Broken Binding is an original Midwestern Folk band from the Ozark hills of Southwest Missouri. Frontman and songwriter, James Green, has be performing for over 20 years with various bands in and around the Ozarks. James’ songwriting has an original sound laced with catchy hooks that tell stories of tragedy and hope. While the band doesn’t traditionally fit in to any one specific genre, their music shows shades of Indie Folk, Alt-Bluegrass, Country and Americana.

After the removal of a cancerous tumor in his chest, four rounds of chemotherapy and a paralyzed vocal cord, singer/songwriter Jeremy Hicks was told to find a new profession. Still he began writing new songs in attempt to cope with his emotional state. By whistling vocal melodies he could still craft songs the way he always had but this time for a new reason - consolation. Over the course of 6 months, little by little, his vocal chord began to gain strength. Desperate to have his voice back, he forced a sound out of his chest that resulted in a new, raw voice he could once again call his own. THENVOY is where he shares those songs and attempts to create an environment of consolation with elements of song, film and fragrance.
