TOO LUCKY is the experimental first single from the forthcoming Leebone Phillips’ EP "A Big Long Time" scheduled for release late 2018.
Chewing over ideologies of fate, religious superstition and free will, the lo-fi folkster marches fearlessly in a new direction, contrasting his previous three-single EP he poetically refers to as 'Songs For The Grey Cat'. TOO LUCKY puts a finger on the pulse of existentialism, beating with retro-synth, electric guitars, and lyrical mortality. Inside the tune, Leebone draws instrumental influence from indie vanguards Dr Dog, Sparklehorse and M Ward - while managing to preserve his signature lo-fi character and folk roots.
Fresh from grabbing the attention of Spotify playlisters, music bloggers and critics through his previous single releases, TOO LUCKY sends a bold message that Leebone is no one-trick-cowboy as he continues to tirelessly create outside the box. 
TOO LUCKY was produced and mixed by Leebone Phillips, with additional mixing and mastering by Silent Feature’s Greg Cathcart at Ark Studios, Brisbane.
