SYDNIVERSE is the creative rebirth of Nigerian-American DJ and curator Sydney Love—New York’s first Nigerian female DJ. Born in Lagos and raised between The Bronx and Miami, she’s built a lane rooted in rhythm, rave, and the Afro-diaspora. Dubbed the Queen of AfroVibes, her genre-fluid sets blend Afrobeats, Amapiano, Hip-Hop, Alté, and Afrohouse, delivering high-energy sonic experiences that move bodies and shift moods.

Sydney Love has opened stages for artists like Uncle Waffles, Eve, Ari Lennox, Little Simz, Mayorkun, Major Lazer, Bnxn fka Buju, Keke Palmer, and Show Dem Camp, and has spun at international festivals including AfroNation, AfroFuture (fka Afrochella), and Chop Vegas. She recently toured with Tiwa Savage on the Water & Garri North American tour and continues to play top-tier sets at events like Everyday Afrique, Lincoln Center, and Let’s Get Fr.ee Festival.

As a cultural curator, Sydney created NAIRA, a nightlife platform rooted in Lagos nightlife culture and Black liberation. It has become a NYC staple, with sold-out parties and global community support. Her current monthly residency at Public Records NYC features her signature events, including ALTÉ CRUISE and CRAZYSEXYAFRO.

In 2022, she launched her indie label EKO MIAMI Records, further amplifying diasporic sound. Splitting time between Lagos, London, and New York, she continues to push boundaries and build bridges between continents through sound.

At the age of 8, watching his cousin on two turntables and hearing the sounds and creativty that was being made he had to get his fingers on it . As time went on he taught himself on the art of Djing. Now he has been creating his own sounds and making people dance an be amazed by his creativty. From the West Indies, Parts of Europe, He has touched and inspired. From big name clubs from east to west to cruise liners such as RCCL and in store such  place like Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Ave, Oakley, Lilly Pulitzer, & H&M.

Just for the 411: maliQ $hantè has cultivated since childhood a grand passion for music (as well as for roller-boogie + the Double-Dutch jump-rope). Surrounded by the early roots of hip-hop, and living admidst cuban and haitian music, she was strongly influenced by her neighborhood friends, who often organized block parties, real street parties, with their boom boxes after school. It was during the 80’s, thanks to the crude origins of break dance and the beginings of hiphop, like Kurtis Blow or Grandmasterflash, and Funk all-stars like Afro Lafayette, when her musical passion took root. This then led her over the course of the years to extensively collect vinyl records, and now play them in her dj sets to reach her ultimate goal: heat up the dancefloor. In her live sets she proposes an urban “cross-beat” mix of FUNK, afro-cuban, carribean rhythms and the steet sound of old skool hiphop, now re-interepreted with newer styles such as electronic broken and new jazz, future brazil funk beats, some baia funk, high-tech dub-club,  new + old skool house and 2step. 
Recently she’s played as a guest in Italy at the Festival Notte Rosa 07, Be You-Young Festival per Mtv, at Banana Tsunami for the Mtv-trl tour, Mentelocale, Chandra bar and Il Monumento in Genoa, Club-Index, Bobbino, Rosso Antico, Zero35, Bacaro and Opera Buffa in Bergamo, DIESEL 55DSL PRESS DAY, Humus club, Magnolia, La Fata Verde, ATM, Rita and Fresco Art (resident dj) in Milan, La Borsa in Vicenza, D-Lounge, Sunflowers, L’ontano, Istant and Manzoni on Lake Como, at Castell in St. Moritz. She was artistic director and ideator for the first edition of the nu-jazz festival “Nu-summer Groov” held in Genoa 2004 feat. Gerardo Frisina, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Hird+Yukimi, Soul II Soul, then organizer of events at Tunnel club milano featuring artists like Stereotyp, MakossaMegablast and at club Fontanili Mark de Clive Lowe. .. .. but most of all, music just remains a onelove and a big phat hobby.
