This was the first time I hit record on a session with the thought hey maybe I can put this out into the world. I was getting ready to perform at a fundraiser and my friend told me to channel "art gallery". It was a good prompt for me and allowed me to slow down a bit.

I was self-critical enough that I stopped the recording before the last track played out lol. Listening back I loved how it turned out and I got to laugh with that scared lil voice in my head. We're getting to be friends now.

Lucien is an Australian-Mauritian DJ and curator based in Perth, known for his energetic, genre-bending sets that blend UK Garage, Baile Funk, Electro, and House, drawing on Afro and Latin influences.

His style was refined during his time spent in Barcelona, where he immersed himself in the city’s vibrant club culture and connected with a diverse global community of music lovers. Lucien has performed in both Spain and Australia, sharing his unique sound with audiences across these countries.

Currently also releasing his own original music, Lucien’s vibrant productions capture his personal journey through various dance styles he loves. His debut track, "Every Night," a UK-leaning production, marks the beginning of this evolving creative path.

Ben McCullough
I make music with the intention of exploring the infinite acts of creation that connect us all, and to also create new space for spirits of sound to collaborate in what seems to be their desired ways. In this process I mostly see myself as a conduit which ties the strings of sonic-self-expressions of others together, however, these expressions then emerge in new ways that feel so undoubtedly like myself that I must also acknowledge the role that my ego and spirit has in this equation.

Chopping samples is a meditative experience. The process continually contextualizes my understanding of self as one with everything that has ever been and that will be, all existing simultaneously in the eternal now. Producing music provides me with peace along my personal timeline with growth. Through the upmost veneration and collaboration with all that has come before me, "my songs" come together. I hope they provide you with an instance of peace and happiness as they do for me:) All of my cover art is made by me as multimedia digital collages:)
