DJ Ned Roy gained first recognition on the New Zealand DJ scene in 1989 when he won the national New Zealand DJ Competition, and won again in 1992 and 1997. DJ Ned Roy is one of New Zealand’s remaining few professional DJs who plays on vinyl strictly – a reflection of his respect for the art of music production and the integrity of the artists. Being a DJ has been Ned’s lifelong passion and his talents are truly shown on the turntables as he brings music to life. 

Throughout Ned’s career, Hawaii has been a regular DJ residence location. Some of Ned’s creativity in this capacity has involved collaboration with local musicians to provide live vocals, percussion and saxophone to complement his turntable mixing.
