Israeli superstar EDM duo Vini Vici joins forces with one of Portugal's most influential selectors, Diego Miranda, to produce their latest hit in 'Esta Si' featuring Chimo Bayo. A celebration of two cultures and their respective views on EDM, blending aspects of psytrance with Latin heritage.

This dream team has worked together before; alongside Wuant, the partnership released a similar psytrance-infused track in 'More Power' in 2020. In many ways, Vini Vici and Miranda stuck with the formula that worked perfectly in 2020 on the new track 'Esta Si'. Using psytrance as a canvas, the world-class producers layer the track with Latin topline from Chimo Bayo and industrial-sounding loops. As a result, you are left with a high-tempo and bass-heavy psytrance anthem with a unique Latin tribalist sound. 

Vini Vici, or Matan Kadosh and Aviram Saharai, have been making music since 2001. However, only since 2013 have the Israeli selectors produced under the moniker Vini Vici, where they first found prominence in underground psytrance circles. However, the pair's big break came in 2015 when 'The Tribe' off their debut album 'Future Classics' gained critical acclaim in the EDM realm. Since their conception and eventual ascension to the top of the EDM world, Vini Vici have collaborated with Steve Aoki, Armin van Buuren, Timmy Trumpet and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. They have cemented themselves alongside some of the genre's greats.

As far as Diego Miranda goes, his name speaks for itself. Miranda is widely revered in his home country of Portugal as one of the most popular and influential DJs to come out of the country. Starting his disc-jockey journey when he was just 14 years old, Miranda has proved time and time again, decade after decade, that his reputation is fitting to his status. Playing all over the world in some of the best clubs the globe has to offer has landed Miranda won countless awards for his contributions to music, even being nominated to EMA's MTV Awards, which remains one of the most prestigious institutions in music.

Spanish music artist Chimo Bayo is perhaps best for his 90’s hit ‘Así me gusta a mí’, which was an international hit notably in Spain, Greece, Israel South America, and Japan. The iconic singer/songwriter has since toured extensively and entertained millions worldwide.

Early trance classic 'Age Of Love' gets a 2022 refit from the mighty Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, who's teamed up with fellow powerhouse duo Vini Vici for this scintillating new version on Smash The House.
 
The 2022 remix from the collective of contributors swells with thumping melodic basslines and soaring arpeggios, all retrofitted around an industrial atmospheric tone that catapults the song into some majestic dwelling, where the atonal bleeps and warbling, whistling melody appear. Before the iconic vocal sets, the track into an acid-spiked climax. Italian-born artist Riva Starr collaborates with New York-based DJ and producer Todd Terry on This Is The Sound. Previously, the pair have remixed each other’s solo productions, but their joint project on Hot Creations signifies a new beginning for the acclaimed producers.
Riva Starr talks about the significance of collaboration.

“Todd has been an inspiration since my early steps in house music,” he says. “With this EP, I just wanted to re-create some of the early house vibes with a modern twist. Feels good to have been able to collaborate with such a legend!” Together, the pair bring Riva’s vision to life on the title track, weaving a classic-house-tinged melody with crisp claps, penning an irresistible groove. Peak-time in every sense of the word. Riva Starr serves his solo offering on Creator, evoking a darker vibe. Chugging drums thump between a squelchy acid melody, paying homage to the birth of acid house in the late 80s, chopped with more contemporary textures.

Based in East London, Riva Starr’s roots lie in Naples, Italy. Having moved to London in 2008, Riva immersed himself in the UK tech house scene, playing across the country in Printworks, Motion, and Orange Yard to further afield in Pacha, Watergate, and Space Miami. As a multi-dynamic producer, Riva’s discography boasts remixes of work by Dennis Ferrer, Fatboy Slim, and Claptone and solo releases on Defected, Black Book Records, and his own Snatch! Records imprint. Grammy Award-nominated artist Todd Terry is a stalwart on the global house scene, breaking through in the mid-90s with the classic house heater “Keep on Jumpin” ft. Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown. Since then, Todd has produced a colossal body of work on Defected, Inhouse, Freeze Records, and several others, keeping his sound aligned with his New York heritage and reinventing it with a fresh flavour.
