The passion, impulsiveness and devotion inherently present in Kosme’s productions can be heard on “Unexpected Journey’  the first track on his EP, with complimentary shout outs to pioneers such as Theo Parrish and other grand masters of the Detroit House scene.
The ruder, more enigmatic second track “Power Source” is soulful, and the voluptuous rhythms used counterbalance a roughness that is usually left out of a North American groove, showing Kosme is not comfortable with a generic blueprint to creating thumping grooves that rattle the rib cage.

The creator of Cosmic AD then switches attention to the other side of his emphatic EP. “The Same Key” is a thunderous anthem with some sincerely fresh sounds that harmonically infuse the psychedelic pulses of Acid House and the labyrinth tantrums of UK Bass. A truly new definition of power.

The interlude of “Opposite Direction” is a dive into the lair of madness situated somewhere between the cognitive ramblings of a Shamanic Priestess and an instinctive assault on the headquarters of the illuminati. A truly pulsating anthem that swarms  around the ears leaving you on a plateau of high altitude.

The tumultuous ‘1st Step Beats” is Kosme’s nod to the musical franchise of “1st Things 1ST” The ever efficient simplistic tribal beats give off an aura that is capable of transforming even the most straight edged house lover into a wild beast rambling  in the shadows of life, and House.

Named after Joseph Beuys' concept of 'Social Sculpture', which serves to harness collective potential in an attempt to transform society (in some small way at least!), the release features eight different artists who embody the BleeD sound of the last few years of activity - Volte-Face, Rote (Daniel Avery & Volte-Face), DJ Nobu, Peder Mannerfelt, Opuswerk, Refracted, AWB and BLNDR.

We are excited to share @Wata Igarashi’s mind-bending “Question and Answer EP”, his second release on The Bunker New York. We’ve been playing all four tracks at our parties for a while, watching people lose their minds on the dance floor and look at their friends with that “what is this?!” expression on their faces. These reactions are not surprising considering that Igarashi is a lifelong musician and a professional sound designer by trade. Through decades of experience composing music he has developed a sophisticated and nuanced approach to production that allows him to evoke powerful moods and emotions. In recent years he has been applying his production skills to great effect, developing a distinctive brand of psychedelic techno that has been released on labels including Midgar, Semantica and Time to Express. Describing his creative development, Igarashi tells us: “the more I produce and play, the more I discover. I keep finding different aspects or nuances of making and performing techno music. This process of learning and constantly going deeper is very exciting for me, it is unlike anything else I have experienced before. I am appreciative of the opportunities I have been getting and I just want to pursue them as far as I can, it is deeply motivating doing something I love with people I respect.” 

A chance encounter at Berghain in February of 2015 connected Wata with Bryan Kasenic, founder of The Bunker New York, who already knew and loved his music. As a result of this meeting, The Bunker released a very well received podcast from Wata later that year, which was followed by Igarashi’s “Mood of the Machines EP” in 2016. The relationship has further deepened through working together on this follow up record and Wata making his North American debut as a DJ at The Bunker in September of 2017. According to Igarashi, the “Question and Answer EP” is “about communication and connections, so it makes sense for it to be on The Bunker NY, a label that features so many friends and artists that inspire me. My relationship with Bryan has been an important and rewarding one for me, and I am really happy to be working with him again on this record.” These rewards quickly become obvious on a dance floor with unfurling infinite arpeggiations working themselves out with the inexorable driving force that can be found in truly great techno. The EP opens with tense and driving “Outburst”, which is complemented by the slow-burning “Train of Thought”. The B side features the title track, a beautifully unfolding number geared for generating powerful moments of release on the dancefloor. The EP finishes in style with the downtempo vibes of ‘Broken Telephone’. Versatile enough to be dropped during peaks or at other times, this new EP from Igarashi boasts 4 equally kaleidoscopic cuts that will surely stand out in a set.

Tresor Records is proud to present club resident Claudia Anderson’s new work “Synthesis”, as the first EP to be charted into its fabled catalog in 2019.

Claudia Anderson lives in Vienna where she gained experience at local raves and underground clubs, before becoming a Tresor resident in 2017.

In 2012, Anderson joined Singular, the Paris label headed by Tresor resident and recording artist Marcelus. “Hysteria” was celebrated as one of the most subtly produced records that year. Three years later, she followed with on Singular with “Liquid Forms”, pushing the definition of the deep forms of Techno which have become integrant part of her signature.

Since then, Tresor has worked closely with Claudia Anderson to develop her first treads on the label. The label’s 2017 “Dreamy Harbor” compilation featured Anderson’s track “Phase” next to luminaries such as Jon Hassell, Moritz von Oswald or Donato Dozzy, revealing an ever more hypnotic side of her work.

In a new step, and through the five tracks that build “Synthesis”, Claudia Anderson shows a sense of aplomb, that stands in balance with her natural and subtle sense of restraint.
