revisiting an old favourite with new & improved sound quality, mixing and arrangement. This is basically a repeating chorus, which is pretty catchy, but I’d love to eventually compose the rest of this tune, and have it played by jazz musicians with live instruments one day. This is probably still one of my top 3 favourite tracks, but there’s a couple other versions I’ve posted on here - one with a saxophone playing lead melody:

Seems to be an endless repeated theme for me ~ running away to the countryside, and in recent years this has been the Australian wilderness, from the deep south to the far north.

Dedicated to, and featuring Gary Reeves (aka Mountain Songs) on drums and cymbals (remixed) at the start. Banjo, lap slide guitar (acting as bass), beats and vox by myself. This song is for Gary, who has been a wonderful musical compadre for many of us around the world, via this  Soundcloud Village.

Squaddies: soldiers
The clap: gonorrhea (The narrator in this song gets gonorrhea, or the clap, which was rampant at the time because so many soldiers were catching it from the prostitutes operating near the front. Many of those soldiers, believe it or not, were still virgins and didn't want to die without experiencing sex)

Celestial Serenade: A Flight of Dreams

This is a song that originated with Steve of Steve's Planet. He came up with a really cool guitar instrumental and the vocals, which he is very passionately singing, while travelling through the primordial forests of Central Europe and shared it with all of us. I added the bass and the electric piano. Tez (Llanpsych) added the really cool guitar parts that sound like orchestral violins. Ken (K2 and the Three, and K2 and the Four) added the perfectly complimentary rolling drums. Stephen (TexMex Shaman) added the awesome, trippy sitar and pulled the whole thing together as an expert producer and mixer. Tez also mastered it. Hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it.

In Japan, there's a cultural tradition dating back to the Edo period that discussing ghost stories can bring a sense of coolness as a way to counter the summer heat. Consequently, during the summer, tales of ghosts and haunted houses remain a symbolic aspect. This summer is expected to be exceedingly hot worldwide, and Tokyo is no exception, enduring its share of heat. As you may know, this song respectfully includes a slight nod to Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' in its arrangement. The guitar solo was contributed by SeaShea, an Australian musician I've been collaborating with frequently. 
Setting aside whether this song can endure the heat, please stay healthy and enjoy your time without succumbing to the heat.

Whilst transfering files from my laptop to my new computer I came across this unfinished project I'd started just before the first lockdown. Then along with my other problems concerning my hearing this was another that got put on hold. Originally written for a vocal  which because of life sadly did'nt work out I decided to  add some guitar, a string ensemble and a horn section to fill out the sound. I'm happy I found it. Sometimes faith is best looked at like a photographic negative; what does our heart feel when faith is lost? It is so closely allied with hope that the two are hard to distinguish when either or both are lost; but tears are often the result. For many this Christmas, a troubled world only scratches the surface of the personal trouble felt from having lost faith in a loved one, themselves, and perhaps even God.
