We can never erase the past. However, what if regretting past mistakes is making you hesitate to take up a new challenge? Picture the rejections and negative reactions from others that have been afflicting you like a nightmare. Realize that those are now only images in your head. Open up your inner eyes, let’s get out of the dungeon of repentance. In reality, we should build a solid relationship with only what can be found before us at this moment.

UTOPIA | DYSTOPIA

This track has been in my head as an idea for quite a while. I was looking for an opportunity to give one of my favorite guitar players on SoundCloud a prime spot in a new tune of mine. I am referring to Louis Taverna @louis-taverna here, an extraordinary electric guitar player, who is a master in all the fields of shred guitar playing rooted in the eighties and beyond. He does so with taste and conviction. And boy, he helps lift this jazz rock and prog track to great heights! I hope you’ll enjoy this as much as I did!

This is a cover song that Rekha and I did.  It's a Carpenters track and we held on to most of the original arrangement but took some creative license otherwise 

For me the Carpenters are like John Denver or the 80's hair metal scene - something I enjoy but don't tell just a whole lot of people about.   Doing this one was Rekha's idea and I think she nailed it.   This track is brought to life by her killer performance.

Another note - I personally want to dedicate this track to my good friend and synth-master Steve Fullyard (@steve-fullyard) who married his lovely bride K very recently. I wish them both all the happiness they can handle.

This is a song by one of my favorite bands that, believe it or not, Chris suggested we do. I really feel like we're kindred musical spirits. His playing on this and his voice are excellent as always. He's on acoustic guitar and the high vocals on this one. He also mixed, produced, and arranged the song. You'll hear me on the bass, synth, slide, mandolin, and auxiliary guitar, as well as singing the two low parts. We decided to do a string of covers back in the summer.
