Synesthesia is main motif for this song, first because of original lyrics, then as I felt like adding it more flavor with female vocals*, & finally when I recently watched some paintings about this matter**.

Sweet Escape or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the AI (Feat. Special Cecilia)

Hey…. Thanks for dropping by. April 21st, fresh snow on the ground that hopefully will melt off by the end of the day. Yesterday, I was out transplanting some small Lupine and Columbine plants from out of the lawn. They grew there from seed that spilt from nearby flowerbeds. I put them into a rock garden I recently refurbished. I pulled all the rocks out, dug down to get all the invasive grass roots out, and rebuilt it with a few extra rocks. After that chore, I dug up several Spruce seedlings from the Spruce trees I planted here decades ago. Those little saplings grew up under a lilac bush, so I moved them out into open areas in the backyard. They probably won’t get to be 3 feet tall by the time I pass from this mortal coil, as I am old, but I plant them anyway b/c they’ll most likely still be here when I am gone. Ha. I have been transplanting a lot of volunteer flower plants into my neighbor’s yard, from my vegetable garden in preparation for Spring planting. They find their way into the garden, by wind, bird or however, and I just let them grow, but soon there’s more flowers than vegetables, so I find them new homes. Lastly, I replaced the wonky wheel and axle assembly on my old wheelbarrow, held together by hose clamps, during a snowy day last week, with a wheel from a wheelbarrow I recently got from a pile of free stuff (junk) out on the road, that a neighbor was tossing out. The barrow was cracked, but the wheel/axle were fine. Now I am ready to roll. That is how Spring is here in the mountains…. So several years back, there was quite a large pack of dogs that would freely run around our rural neighborhood. They lived here and loved being able to roam. When I first saw them on my way to the mailbox, they did not know me, and several dogs growled at me. (Rightly so.) Ha. It was a standoff moment for sure. So I just laughed at them. They were not anticipating that. So from then on, we’d have some fun whenever I saw them. Most of those dogs have died over the years. It was sad to see them go. So I included them in this song. About the Song

"Water to Wine" is a song about the appeal of perfection we often see online, contrasted with the seemingly unremarkable and ordinary lives that most of us lead. It’s a reflection on the emotional toll that comes from chasing validation through likes and follower counts— and the emptiness that can follow when the spotlight fades.

Our value, though, goes far deeper than what shows up on a screen and authenticity holds more power than appearances. Take a deep breath and if we look up from the scroll and take a brave look at the world — and each other — we might find something much more real!

Behind the Song (from Goff Johnson)

Ironically, while the message of the track talks about isolation and the cost of surface-level connection, the making of Water to Wine was the exact opposite of that! It came to life through collaboration with the incredibly talented Todd J McLean, who, in addition to his awesome vocals, and red-hot music connections, also created the cover art (Woman in Yellow Chair) for the track! The overall result is something far richer than either of us could have created alone.

Working together brought depth, direction, and new energy to the song — proof that the best things happen when we connect for real. No filters, just music, shared purpose, and mutual trust!

This is my first collaboration on SoundCloud. I could not have been more fortunate than to work with Goff Johnson, an immensely talented singer/songwriter/musician. When I first came across Goff, I listened to his entire Stories of Stardust album end-to-end and I was so impressed with this concept and significant body of work.
