Hi there and thanks to anyone and everyone that has taken the time to search, find and listen to these songs. The Time+Zones are a collaboration of myself Paul Beaumont and Ian Jenkins. Ian and I have been friends for many years but have come from 2 very different musical directions to be recording together. (Ian is also on soundcloud as Ian Jenkins 3. If you visit him You Are, Inside Out, Gliding and Famous Last Looks are all my lyrics that he has put music to. His version of Famous Last Looks adoptss on a very different feel than the one by the Time Zones!)

I have played guitar on and off since I was about 13 but have always had a head for lyrics and an ear for melodies and whilst the words have all been written down (now well over 100), the tunes have just been in my head until 2009 when I decided to do something with them all. So I invested in some home recording equipment (Cubase, a line 6 UX2 and an M-audio keyrig) and haven't looked back since. Some of the songs that will appear on Soundcloud were first written/started way back in 1980 right up to present date.

I don't profess to have influences, music itself is a reason to do this but there are a number of bands and artistes that have helped give me the reason, such as Echo and the Bunnymen, The House of Love, Joy Division, The Velvet Underground, Simon and Garfunkel, Leonard Cohen, John Sebastian.

Ian is an accomplished keyboard player and musician. He has been in a number of rock and soul bands, has played loads of live gigs and also has recording experience. He has helped bring these songs to life (so a big thank you to Ian).
I have only been a domestic musician so far.
