Détends-Toi is the debut EP of the Parisian-born, Berlin-based singer & DJ Stella Zekri. 
Produced and co-written by Ed Longo, Détends-Toi is a sunny collection of four original songs, one dub version and one special cover, heavily influenced by Zouk, Boogie and the sound of the mid-80s French underground. Coming to you in advance of summer ‘22 the record marks also the first release of Berlin label Cosmic Romance.

Viscardi & Il Duo Magnetico is the new collaborative project between italo-swiss DJ, producer and singer Pascal Viscardi, Yavor Lilov and Alain Sandri, respectively drummer and percussionist of the swiss cult band L’Éclair. 

The three musicians joined forces in Geneva and worked in the studio for the past two years with Viscardi as the main vocalist, Lilov producing the tracks and playing drums, bass and keys, and Sandri on guitar, percussion, and backing vocals. The result is a unique and contemporary version of italian pop, peppered with new-wave, boogie, disco and world music references.

On Sale Sole Pascal's mellifluous lyrics float on a midtempo boogie groove, projecting visions of sun drenched cities and summer sunsets. On the flip side Jamba Club is a reggae infused slow burner, reminiscent of night encounters and forgotten love stories. 

Sale Sole / Jamba Club marks the project’s debut release and serves as a sneak peek into the upcoming full-length album, set to release on Cosmic Romance in fall 2023.

After the release of the first singles Sale Sole & Jamba Club earlier this year, we’re happy to present the full album of Viscardi & Il Duo Magnetico, the quirky and irresistible lovechild of the Genevans @pascalviscardi , Yavor Lilov and Alain Sandri.

The 8-track album is a unique and contemporary version of Italian pop, sent on a digital journey through sunny Boogie and Mellow Reggae, Art Pop and Ambient New Age. The songs draw on a vocabulary composed of fragmentary images, unusual verses and original assonances, where maritime themes mix with the grey of the city and the Neapolitan dialect sparsely appears. The journey sounds like dreaming of Campania beaches in the midst of Geneva traffic, or fantasising about speeding motorboats and Balearic bonfires while listening to Enzo Carella on the sixth floor of a council building. And then dance until the sun rises on the last slow song of the night.

Inspired in artist like Darius, Kartell and Paradis, this French touch tune,  is a playground of  immersive synths and groovy house drums, despite being a downtempo house tune, it has enough energy to be a tune that can be heard in a club as in other atmospheres, taking the listener to a peaceful state of mind.

Neapolitan composer, producer, and keyboardist Giorgio Lopez sets sail on Berlin-based label Cosmic Romance with his “Sud des Îles”. Navigating between 80s-inspired grooves, French boogie, and sun-kissed atmospheres, the record unfolds like a musical travelogue, following fictional skipper Georges Taty and his crew of musicians aboard the sailboat “Sud des Îles”, caught between racing waves, late-night jams, and dockside dreams.

From the whirling groove of "Voyager Sans Bouger" to the breezy atmosphere of "Toujours Distante", the eight tracks on Sud des Îles invite listeners to drift away in rhythm and reverie through a songwriting that is both infectious and evocative. Stories of escapes (real or imagined), romantic illusions, and nostalgia-tinted euphoria weave together, propelled by Giorgio Lopez’s arrangements and distinctive keyboard work, as well as by the well-crafted production, carried out together with Executive Producer and label owner Ed Longo.

Featuring lead vocals by Stella, Master Phil, Amanda Roldan, and Bernardino Femminielli, together with the “équipage de Sud des Îles” itself - a tight-knit ensemble of acclaimed musicians from Berlin and Naples – “Sud des Îles” is an invitation to ride the waves to a neon-lit night on a faraway island: no passport required.

Ed Longo & Applied Arts Ensemble - The Other Fantasy

We welcome Ed Longo and his studio project The Applied Arts Ensemble debut on Early Sounds with “The Other Fantasy”, the result of many recording sessions that took place in different places around Europe with an array of musicians from a predominantly jazz background.
Conceived with a strong jazz-funk, fusion and boogie approach, the record is conceptualized around the quest for Otherness in the schizophrenia of the digital age, and the resulting exotic dystopias which we are confronted with every day.
