Cosmik Brothers - Lockdown 2021 - Open Your Mind

BMSS label boss Boom Shankar is not one to shy away from pushing the boundaries of the psychedelic trance scene mould, and this release is no exception. An ambient electronic world music live act from Greece, Labros XP (Odiolab) deliver a pair of profoundly evocative tracks for their first release on the label. 

Title track 'DigitalOne' is an anthemic marching number in which colossal pads paint a mournful but strangely uplifting picture...a haunting trip through nostalgic memories. 'Love and Light' is a pulsing ethnic affair that grooves and chimes along relentlessly, generating an undeniable sense of optimism, love and light.

Eternal Servant / Jim is a Goa trance DJ and producer from Orange County, California, USA. He began his journey as a DJ in 1996 after being exposed to Deep House and Melodic Techno in the clubs during his college years. In 1998, he was exposed to Acid Techno and Goa Trance (also Psychedelic Trance) at raves and private parties. He began playing professionally in the fall of 1998 - signed by both Sapphire Productions in Detroit, MI; as well as the Psychedelic Trance Liberation Front in Chicago, IL. At that time, Jim went by the stage name of Boppity; and became a staple name in the underground for being one of the pioneers to bring Goa trance to the Detroit area. In 2000, Jim was hired at a nightclub called The Temple in Ferndale, MI to be their headlining Thursday night resident DJ. Jim’s fanbase from the rave scene quickly dominated Thursdays at The Temple, and the residency ran for 13 months until new club management decided to remove trance from its offerings.
In 2004, Jim was promoted at his day/office job, and focused on growing his career. While he stepped away from the decks at that time, he focused his studio time on learning sound design and electronic music production. In 2017, he began formal production study with his friend, mentor, and teacher:  Kri Samadhi. It was at this time that Jim rebranded his artistic identity as Eternal Servant. In April of 2021, in the midst of the COVID lockdowns, Jim returned to DJ’ing and is back with a fierce passion for sharing the energy and message of Goa Trance with the world.
