For those who move through this world of music with open ears and an open heart, the name Niklas Wandt needs little introduction. A true maestro of rhythm, lord of the vibe, and sweetheart of the universe — one of the last real muthaphuckkin G’s in a game full of 99% fake-ass studio gangsters.

It’s always a pleasure to work with this gentleman, and this time is no exception. Niklas joined us to celebrate the 3rd of October at Domestic Affairs in Berlin-Lichtenberg — by now a trusted source of A+ material for our Warning Mix Series.

Resident Ángel Negrín picked up straight from Lovell, moving into more minimal and hypnotic territories.

Glasgow based, originally from Caracas, Venezuela. Ángel started in music as a teenager playing guitar in hardcore punk, psychedelic, and post-rock bands. His musical path shifted toward electronic music after moving to Ghent, Belgium, where he discovered the city’s amazing electronic music scene. Settling in Glasgow and experiencing the incredible underground scene gave him the final push to start mixing other people’s music, focusing on psychedelic sounds within the dub/disco and techno universe. This eventually led him to create Luna Roja, a place where these sounds meet.

On some I completely reworked the track, threw in new bits to take it somewhere else. On others, I just grabbed a tiny piece of the original and built a whole new track around it. Some are obscure, some are less so. There’s one based on an old remix I did ages ago, and another one is a famous French song I’ve wanted to put my own spin on for 20 years.
I had fun playing around with these and hope you find something in there that fits your mixes or podcasts.
