Mont Lake Records return to the record stores with their fifth release. The Austrian outfit have kept true to their word of pushing quality over quantity. Releases remain infrequent, but the standard does not falter. The latest in the vinyl only series features a full EP from DJ Honesty alias Honeydrop.

The Portugal based artist is long since known for his affiliation with Cabinet Records. With over 20 years of making music under his belt, his sound has been primed and developed. Anas M is a 22 years old Dj/Producer born in Meknes, Morocco and raised in Moscow, Russia. His interests in music started at the age of 18 when he started visiting clubs. He dove into the minimal house side naturally as Moscow has one of the most powerful underground scenes. At 18 he made his first steps as a Dj/Producer by playing in the iconic Dissident Moscow. Later, and after some time learning, at the age of 21 he released his first single with the moscovite label Farmat. This single was the beginning of his producer career. In the same year he has released 5 EPs and a bunch of singles. His most notable EP was the one released with the Saint-Petersbourg label Mixcult, with 2 dub minimal original tracks and 2 remixes.  His single Baer released with the Serbian label Not Allowed was his strongest track of that year. Now at the age of 22 Anas M is aiming big, with some future vinyl releases coming and some digital EPs including remixes from some of the most confirmed talents in the minimal house industry

[CRPTA02] Mike.D - Nervios Azules

Member of the IWOU crew and Sonartek, Italian producer NK aka Niki Ilb is back with a new release for Bebop Records. 

He co-created the Bebop label alongside longterm friend and collaborator Miki a year ago as he was coming with new music productions. As he sent them to Miki, they came up with the idea of a new label to release those last tracks. The name Bebop then arose from the strong jazz contamination Niki's music has.

As Bebop 001 was a strong break piece with a less club-oriented mood, they decided to go with some tracks for the club for the second record. Bebop 002 is a four-tracker EP that resonates between deep and dark, groovy and energised. Most of the tracks were recorded last summer, during the post-covid period and re-openings of clubs and parties. Founded in 2009, Cosmo Records is a Moroccan electronic music label desiring to create touch points between Western, Latin,  West-African and Oriental music.

Owing to its unique creative process, the label is seeking to spearhead a revolutionary form of blending various musical spectrums. In so doing, world famous electronic artists and traditional musicians meet in Morocco's finest music studios to produce original sounds at the confluence of music styles ranging from minimal, tech house and house to the psychedelic practice of Bamako's Kora.

Artists are brought from a wide diversity of backgrounds, which makes any track of the label’s music a fascinating journey where experimental sounds coming out of the most technical devices keep echoing traditional ambiences.

Operating out of Casablanca, Morocco, Cosmo records has made its purpose clear; to fuse experimental house and techno with traditional African musicianship in a cultural dialogue that spans generations and continents in search of thrilling new musical forms. 

Over the past years, Cosmo has called upon some of the finest producers in the most adventurous corners of 4/4 dance music to collaborate with players of the kora, guembri, lute and many more forms of percussion and melodic instrumentation. The chosen artists congregate at the Cosmo recording studios in Casablanca, which acts as a hub for these disparate musical energies to come together in a fusion of seasoned, learned performances and hyper-modern electronic processes. 

Amongst the most notorious artists that have contributed to the label so far are Masomenos, RADIQ, Argenis Brito and Pier Bucci, while Moroccan producer Adil Hiani provides a local focus to the electronic side of the creative process, as well as conducting the A&R for the label.
