About this song :
Lonicera caprifolium also known as Madreselva or Honeysuckle, has always been connected to love. Though it was already known and experienced in the past by Greeks and Romans, it had its greatest popularity during the Middle Ages when it was inserted to symbolize one of the most beautiful and painful love stories of the time, namely that of Tristan and Isotta. Moreover, for the peoples of Celtic origin, its flowers possessed the ability to perform love spells, being the same able to fight the "poison" produced by nostalgia for love. This plant is also used in traditional Chinese medicine, for which Madreselva is able to strengthen libido and sexual potency.

NAOBA features the mysticism of ancestral music and subtle electronic elements as pivotal force to come into contact with the inner realms.

Chapter 03 - I Misteri Della Jungla Nera by NAOBA

Érase una vez una pandemia que azotó el mundo y nos obligó a quedarnos en nuestras casas, las personas fueron compelidas a distanciarse y todo lo que nos parecía normal dejó de serlo. Miedos, frustraciones, enojos, inseguridades, algunas de las emociones reinantes aún nos acompañan en este momento. Un modelo entra en crisis y no sabemos cómo continuaremos.

Un poco azorades y confundides, desde Fértil, sentimos la necesidad de entregarnos a la inspiración (o no) que este proceso producía y lanzamos un espacio de intercambio, para recibir música creada en este momento.

Nos dimos cuenta de que la idea predominante de un tiempo lineal y productivo era, en parte, la causa del colapso. Estar “Fuera del Tiempo”, nos invita a pensar en un tiempo distinto, a observarnos, detenernos y pensar... En el estar agridulce de la pausa, esperamos la aparición de un vacío fértil, para entender mejor quiénes somos, dónde estamos y adónde vamos.

Fuera del Tiempo reúne 19 postales de una pausa.18 temas y un bonus track, de corte electrónico, compuestos por productores de distintas latitudes, e invita a un viaje pausado y reflexivo, con humores algo melancólicos y también con pasajes más orientados a la potencia del baile.

Componen este collage Pol Nada, Jin Yerei, Barda, El Remolón, Marco Selvaggio, Mente Orgánica, Xanducero, Cuervo Cuervo, Leo Silcan, Bicho, Manu Ela, Lautaro González aka Shoao, Galo Vermelho, Tomás Batista, Relo, Damia, Silly Tang ft. La Sardina, Enanomalhecho, Villa Diamante y el debut como compositor de Lavender & The Good Times.

Once upon a time there was a pandemic that struck the world and forced us to stay in our homes, people were compelled to distance themselves and everything that seemed normal to us ceased to be so. Fears, frustrations, anger, insecurities... were some of the emotions that took over us, and in some cases, still do. Our system has reached its limit and we do not know how we will continue.

A little lost and confused, at Fértil Discos we felt the need to give ourselves over to the inspiration (or its difficulties) that this process produced and we launched a space for exchange, to receive music created at this time.

We realized that the prevailing idea of ​​linear and productive time was, in part, the cause of the collapse. Being Fuera del Tiempo invites us to think of a different time, to observe ourselves, stop and reflect ... In the bittersweet state of this pause, we await the emergence of a fertile void, to better understand who we are, where we are and where we go.

Fuera del Tiempo brings together 19 postcards of a break. 18 songs and a bonus track, of electronic, composed by producers from different latitudes, and invites us to a quiet and thoughtful journey, with somewhat melancholic moods and, simultaneously, powerful landscapes to dance in.

Lavender & The Good Times - Vagary

Earth-based producer Perseid is not easily categorized. Drawing from a wide array of influences with a predilection for psychedelic sounds and bass-heavy electronica he has always thrived in the in-betweens of dusty vinyl collections, looking at the oddball records not belonging to one genre or the other. Perseid puts atmosphere and tribalistic dancefloor vibes first and foremost – everything else is just an ever-changing iridescent coat of paint designed to dazzle, envelop and surprise the listener.
 
Music is my Garden Eden is his first EP out in the open after years of behind closed-doors experiments. Five tracks full of personality, one more different than the other but all reflecting a shared global human folklore, rife with emotion from introspection to ecstasy but never bound to a certain place or time. Every song represents a multitude of cultures and influences to create something greater: music for the omni-culture of a future humanity where borders cease to exist and differences enrich, not separate.

In Mazunte, January 8, 2018. During a getaway on the Mexican Pacific coast, El Gato Negro, the eternal adventurer, meets a new fortune friend, Don Mescal, another traveler of modern times and co-founder of Montreal label Cosmovision records.
During a Mayan ceremony, Don Mescal is struck by a cosmic illumination: he hears, embraces and feels the feline entities coming from the sky… At dawn, he understands that the album remix of the exotic black cat had to come to life.
Back in Quebec and to reality, Mescal quickly opens his doors to bring together the greatest gurus of the world-tropical scene. To orchestrate his vision, he welcomes artists from Argentina, Canada, Venezuela, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Guatemala, under the benevolent eye of Guts.

Anka Foh is made up of Malian singer Dasmy Jo and French producer Ditti. The duo met at a series of culture mashing, genre defying jam sessions between musicians from all over the world in Paris’ underground bars. The two artists clicked and came together to work on some of Dasmy’s original compositions - within a few months decided to form Anka Foh.

Shika Shika is excited to share their first EP, Kounady, four tracks of much needed upbeat, joyful, soul music that finds a magical sweet spot between Dasmy’s original compositions, inspired by Mandingue traditional music, and Ditti’s jubilant electronica.

Though the fours compositions are rooted in the West African mandingue tradition, they are taken into a whole new context. Dasmy’s vocals and instrumental lines sit alongside swirling, airy melodies, swaggering beats and Ditti’s trademark bleeps and psychedelic, dreamy synths - the recipe for an explosion of delicious flavours and colours. 

This is summed up on opener Bara or the driving electro-blues track Tâtâ, a song about giving thanks to those that helped and supported us in our lives. The EP ends with the fittingly beautiful lullaby Kounady (a mandingue word that roughly translates as luck) about how we have to look after ourselves and avoid negativity.
