The human race has lived and shared this space we call Earth with the animal kingdom for millions of years but today, most cultures have abandoned the idea that humans are animals like the others. Our modern societies have been treating Mother Earth as if it was their property, extracting resources, polluting constantly, changing the landscape, killing the other animals we and destroying its natural balance.

Since the Industrial Revolution, humanity has killed 83% of all wild mammals and half of all plants of the Earth. Two hundred species of living beings are going extinct every single day. We collectively need to change so many things in areas such as the use of plastic, meat consumption, contaminating energies, day to day overconsumption and more. How can artists raise awareness regarding this?

Thinking on how to be simple but at the same time Universal, Cosmovision Records presents ¨Animals of the Earth¨. For this project we have gathered to co-create an ecosystem that lives in a music album. Producers from many places on Earth explored their connections with our animal cousins, remembering that the condor, the rabbit, the deer, the frog and all the others are our partners in the long trip that this green and lively planet takes in the Universe.

This track was created in-between Pucon-Chile, Vale do Capao-Basil and Berlin-Germany. This has been the route of adventures of Manu Ela and Andi.Andean. The Cobra Coral is a snake that inhabits Brazil and it represents movement, the power of life and death, the game between the innocence of feeling children again and being attentive to the present to see clearly the magical path that this animal of power brings .--

Rey Tepepul is home of the Quetzal, natural reserve located within Santiago Atitlan's community at Lake Atitlan.

From our Chilean born, Montréal based @ElExtravagante plus the beautiful voice of Ra*faelle from Quebec we present you ¨Aguas del Cisne¨ (Waters of the Swan). This song was born from a trip to the southern end of the planet, with me recording a smooth line of glacier water that fell to the floor of an ancient cave, sound that sounds in this song, recorded in Torres del Paine, at the Chilean Patagonia.

This is the water where the swans of Patagonia live and represents the deep beauty and purity of this animal (and all animals), from that remote and pristine space, added to Ra*faelle's, a very special person with a unique voice and artistic proposal and her melody, in an  “abstract” language that represents the singing of swans and that deep feminine beauty that communicates without words, but with the pure language of Universal beauty combining Nature, surrealism and poetry in the shape of a song.

Esta canción nace de un viaje al extremo sur del planeta, conmigo grabando una suave línea de agua de glaciar que caía al suelo de una antigua cueva, sonido que suena en esta canción, grabado en Torres del Paine, la Patagonia Chilena.

The jaguar, which comes from the Indian word "yaguara", is a solitary animal with phenomenal strength which has figured prominently in the mythology of many Native Americans cultures. It cannot be confused with any other Felidae and its camouflage goes unnoticed in the jungle. An early morning hunter that does not like to be disturbed by humans, its species is threatened with extinction especially because of deforestation and the degradation of its habitat. An important stabilizer of prey populations and maintaining the integrity of the structure of forest systems, it is one more victim of human ignorance.'

I always been fascinated by the platypus, this strange animal with a duck-like bill, webbed feet, the tail of a beaver and the body and fur of an otter. It seems to be a mix of other animals and didn't seems to belong in any classification. Like platypus, we human are the sum of a lot of things, our experiences, our backgrounds, our choices, and sometimes we feel like we don't belong anywhere.  I still remember my 1hr talk with an old and bold Perequito (in cage unfortunately) in Cienfuegos in Cuba, it was really enlightening as it was looking at me really surprised to hear my weird human accent haha. This encounter really inspired me so I started using birds sounds in my tracks, and for this particular one, I used parakeet singing, but also the sound of wings slapping the water when they clean themselves as a percussion loop! Then recorded some cow-boy guitar and spacey synths before working on the cumbia gimmicks. 
I really loved making this one.

Cosmovision presents ¨Animals of the Earth ¨

The human race has lived and shared this space we call Earth with the animal kingdom for millions of years but today, most cultures have abandoned the idea that humans are animals like the others. Our modern societies have been treating Mother Earth as if it was their property, extracting resources, polluting constantly, changing the landscape, killing the other animals we and destroying its natural balance.

Since the Industrial Revolution, humanity has killed 83% of all wild mammals and half of all plants of the Earth. Two hundred species of living beings are going extinct every single day. We collectively need to change so many things in areas such as the use of plastic, meat consumption, contaminating energies, day to day overconsumption and more. How can artists raise awareness regarding this?

Thinking on how to be simple but at the same time Universal, Cosmovision Records presents ¨Animals of the Earth¨. For this project we have gathered to co-create an ecosystem that lives in a music album. Producers from many places on Earth explored their connections with our animal cousins, remembering that the condor, the rabbit, the deer, the frog and all the others are our partners in the long trip that this green and lively planet takes in the Universe.

We invite you to come with us on this journey through the musical ecosystem of the ¨Animals of the Earth¨ to discover, respect and care for these beautiful beings that live with us.

The animal Adebar which is stork in english is here in germany connected with new life, new beginnings and fertility of things. I produced the track in a phase when I remind to some disco-influences which should be connected with the tranquility of a classic slow-house track and be a simbiosis of both'' Pay Kusten.

About the song :
Whales are incredible creatures, they are considered the largest and smartest animals on earth. Whales, particularly humpbacks, produce otherworldly vocalizations that can be heard for miles underwater. The songs, complex combinations of moans, howls, and cries that can continue for hours, are produced when whales push air around in their heads, then amplify the sounds through a blob of fat that perches on the top jaw. It’s thought that whales communicate through the calls, which researchers believe can be heard for thousands of miles.

Unfortunately there are a number of factors contributing to the current endangered status of whales such as overfishing, pollution, dam/bridge construction, private/commercial boating and commercial whaling, but out of these contributing factors commercial whaling has had the largest affect on the endangered status of today’s existing whale populations. 

I made this song to bring more awareness to the marine mammals and their environment. One of the best ways that a person can help in their own home to save whales is to recycle as much plastic as possible that might otherwise end up in the ocean. https://soundcloud.com/drparnassus 🇩🇪
