Whatever You've Been Through

I am delighted to share "The Eye of the Storm" with you!

This chant came through last year, in the midst of some challenging times.

I was faced with "big waves" in a stormy season of life. 

As I took some deep breaths on a walk in the mountains, these lyrics began to sing through me:

"Holding my center, though the waves keep on coming
Staying strong through the eye of the storm.
Firm like a mountain, no matter the weather,
Staying strong through the eye of the storm.
Though rain may be coming, through the power of loving,
Staying strong through the eye of the storm.
Holding my center, though the waves keep on coming,
Learning to surf, no matter how high the tide.
With equanimity, I find my serenity,
Staying strong through the eye of the storm."

I pray this song is a source of strength, courage, wisdom and inspiration for those meeting the inevitable challenges of this human journey.

The 108's

The 108's are a series of mantras for meditation, prayer, and listening. In Yogic tradition the repetition of a mantra 108 time is considered sacred. Each mantra is used for a specific purpose and serves to unlock the wisdom and grace within each of us.

Ganesh.
In this first 108 we pray to the energy of Ganesh. He is considered both the remover of obstacles and the force which places those challenges we require in our path so that we may rise within ourselves. When listening to this mantra breath deeply, quiet your mind, and perhaps hold within your mind's eye a challenge or new direction you are facing. Remain open to possibility and trust in the light within you to guide the way.

The incense burns on the grass, I slept through my class
Where my friends are meditating, they are truly connecting
The frogs are singing over there, the birds are flying high up in the air
The trees hold a fresh florescent green, so lovely to be seen

I see you in the garden of eden
This truly is the garden of eden

A million thoughts are running through my mind, a million thought of every kind
I let them come I let them go, coz that's not the real me you know
Free like that bird that's high up in the sky, free to do what I like
And I like to make you smile for a long long long while

The clouds roll by, the sun rays paint the sky
