Artist Bio
Menticide, originally from Pretoria, South Africa, discovered drum and bass at the age of 16.
In 2011 Menticide began dabbling in music production and at 19 he signed his first release a, four track EP – Intricate Noise, a combination of deep, dark yet minimal beats to the UK-based full-spectrum drum and bass label - Rogue Beatz.
Menticide continues to focus heavily on his production and has worked with a few local and international producers such as Downlowd Crew (PE), Demgone (FIN), Dubsidia (SPN), Talabun (RUS) and Semantics (UK) to name a few.
Menticide has played some of the most prestigious drum and bass parties and festivals in the country, Pressure, Sirensound, Crater Gathering, Twilight, Science Frikshun, Addictshun and It Came From The Jungle to name a few, he has also played along side several international artists such as Ed-Solo, AnnGree, Trisector, Infader, Disprove, DLR and Koan Sound and has appear on several prominent national and International radio shows including BassoFM in Finland.
After coming back from a tour in Finland. playing at one of the country’s most prestigious and infamous drum and bass monthly’s Garage Underground, he’s decide to focus all of his energy on masterminding Reaction 012 a drum and bass movement based in Pretoria, which will span out into a record label, clothing label
Menticide is in the process of creating an album with a mixture of drum and bass, and a few other genres, tied together by a singular mood and sound.

Born from a burning desire to create fast, heavy, aggressive and filthy industrial thrash metal, Lobstermen was created in late 2011 by Cicero Carstens (RhütZ, CouchPotatoes, Boargasm) and Tim Bland (CouchPotatoes, Dick Ramirez, Celebrity Sextape).

The razor-clawed dirt-drenched songs reflect obvious influences from Ministry to Fear Factory, as well as local industrial juggernauts Battery 9, but additionally draw on a great diversity of artists, each representing the heaviest bands in their respective genres.

Quite simply as a result, one could argue that the Lobstermen easily rank as one of the heaviest musical acts emerging from South Africa today.
