This is the recording of a live improvisation performed at Freerotation festival in Wales.
I was seated on the floor of the yurt with the audience so as to give us the experience of travelling together.

Buchla Music Easel using a modified version of Todd Barton's Krell patch. All sounds produced by Buchla with additional processing through Strymon El Capistan pedal.

Buchla Krell Patch 1 Edit 1

Two tracks of a Buchla Music Easel recorded "live" separately then combined to replicate a "duel" between 2 Easels. The patches were based on Todd Barton's Krell and Homage to Morton Feldman patches.

My first live Buchla Easel moment. Its not mine but I have it on my workbench for some repairs and the owner let me use it.

Recording from I live stream where I started with an unpatched Buchla Easel, and let the patch and sounds evolve into gentle ambient noise.

The built in spring reverb of the Buchla was used, along with the KOMA BD 101 bucket brigade delay, and two Roland Space Echo tape echoes.

A fully improvised ambient noise set. Nothing pre-recorded, no computer, no loops - all played live on hardware synths, sequencers, tape echoes, spring reverbs. Enjoy!
