First featured on Turnip Stampede’s album “Can you hear what this looks like” the updated version drops the original key down to beef(Bb). Nice vintage Juno tones on the hits in the chorus, thoughtful placement of congas and horn parts help the tune pick up steam. Drums sinking into a deep back beat pocket with a touch of fusiony goodness make the tune maintain serious funk face status. Great horn parts that culminate into WWF style sax vs guitar battle (I wana be Mankind shove that finger right in the mouthpiece TAKE THAT) As they say- its an oldie but a goodie.. its been a long time of Count Blastula playing this song that actually predates its original appearance on the Turnip album by at least 3-4 years.
