TECHNO TOP track

IZØTOPEV94, a collective previously set up as an event to highlight the rising talent in limerick, recent times have forced the collective to dabble in the digital world of music in an attempt to adapt to the society we find ourselves today. From live-streams to t-shirt releases and an ongoing mix series, IZØTOPEV94 has decided to take it one step further and curate its very own various artists compilation. Allowing artist from the V94 and beyond to flourish their music production skill that have been carefully crafted over the past few months. 


This groove infused V/A includes artists such as Chaz Moloney, Jon10, Prince Prada, Silky Klub and Taggy, all of which express their unique tastes in electronic music through genres ranging from House, electro, and techno with a hint of grime. 



Artist bio: JON10, Founder and resident of Irish collective @_izotope_ burst onto the Irish electronic early in the year of 2020. His style of mixing and producing is derived from 90s/early2000s techno, which is evident with the sharp cuts and thundering grooves found in both his music and sets. JON10 picked up music production earlier this year to embark on a quest to revive the sounds that once graced the dance floors many decades ago.

‘From My House to Miami’ EP is the latest offering of Underground Audio, featuring two grooving originals by the noted tech-house force Emery Warman, as well as two heavyweight remixes by WHYT NOYZ and Caleb Calloway. The masterful works by the three artists featured within this EP truly capture their signature sound, delivering a selection of tracks that are open to a vast variety of application. 

The two originals ‘My House and ‘Miami Connection’ are formidable tech-house weapons in their own right. The first of the two is hard-hitting and filled with energy from the very beginning. A vicious, thick, and warped bassline fills the track, while a sharp, acid influenced synth offers a catchy rhythm throughout. Completed with offerings of edgy build-ups and slick vocal samples, the track is geared to fill rooms with energy at any time of the night. 

‘Miami Connection’ is played with a slick selection of percussive patterns that run throughout the track, forming a fast-paced theme from the very start. The track truly comes into full force with the inclusion of a fat kick that accentuates the thick and energetic bassline. Long and intensified build-ups throughout the track add to the charisma of the original, making it a well rounded tech-house track. 

Remixes of ‘Miami Connection’ by Caleb Calloway and WHYT NOYZ take the track on two very unique paths. Filled with groove, Caleb’s punchy remix builds the heat through an increased tempo and an addictive bassline layered on top of the stripped back original. WHYT NOYZ take the track on a techno journey - suspenseful build-ups followed by powerful kicks, on top of a pulsating and upbeat bass groove make this track perfect for the heavier techno sets.

One night we were listening to a mix that had been freshly assembled by Fit Of Body when a particular track caught my ear, and when I asked Ryan about it he referred me to Love Letters's soundcloud page. From there I began a conversation with the artist known as Love Letters and after listening to a handful of demos it became very clear that we needed to put some of this music on a record. As such we are proud to present to you the Suburban Attractive Complex EP. 

After a little back-and-forth we arrived at a tracklist that leads off with the playful strings and chopped-vocals from a late-top-40-princess expertly arranged over serious bass and endlessly inspired rhythmic arrangements of "Who Was Driving?" Next the tone turns inward as the melancholic bass of "F+" closes out the A-side with sweeping strings and horns over a rolling rhythm of analog kicks and cleverly designed drum hits. 

Kicking back into high-gear on the flip, "Sporty Presentation" bursts out of the speakers with a robust funk and playfully-aggressive, atheltic tone that is too infectious not to notice. Rounding out the release is the epic "Digital Favoritism," whose warped chords of triumph buoy incredible feats of rhythm and melody that builds into a frenzy of ecstatic motion.

Berlin based Mannequin Records pushes out some proper Industrial/EBM bangers. Raised in Pescara on the Adriatic Coast and ow based in Frankfurt am Main Antonio Barbetta is debuting on Death of the Machines as Raw Ambassador. 

The heavy four track ep is created to burn every dancefloor with full Industrial vibes and a lot of EBM influences, giving us a small insight into his violent and rough sound. Antonio is also running the Smashing Tape record label, with releases from Violet Poison, Innsyter, DJ Loser and Delivery. TIP!!!
