On the A-side of ASEC’s ‘Group Dynamics’ EP, dropping via his eponymous imprint this November and following up a series of releases supported by the likes of Rødhåd and Tommy Four Seven, as well as output on BPitch and MORD. The title track enters the fray with a mystifying energy, percussion clicking and shifting while cavernous synth hits echo across its evolving soundscape. ‘Scala Naturae’ then continues with rolling drums shot through with bleeps and squelch, the steady beat of weighty kicks footing its looming psychedelic sequences.

Side B invites Counterchange Recordings founder Inland and KSR boss Kaiser to remix the original tracks. First up, Ostgut Ton, Figure, and Nonplus+’s Inland remixes ‘Group Dynamics’ by adding scratchy textures and the thrum of long-forgotten machines before Kaiser reimagines ‘Scala Naturae’. The Key Vinyl and Soma artist turns the track into a prime-time, tripped-out dancefloor cut.

Lastly, Inland provides a dub techno version of his contribution as a digital bonus, with ASEC dropping the excellent ‘Enough Is Enough’ on online platforms. In this track, typewriter-like hats skitter over imposing drums while warped melodics twist and turn on top, closing out yet another mind-melting techno offering from the Berlin producer.

RedBox is the second record in the colored BOX series by Elad Magdasi.

This release is red by all means, with a combination of dark synths and playful notes, Elad mixes his favorite styles while keeping the mood tooly and dancefloor oriented.

All the tracks are named by their position on the record, similar to the oldskool way, focusing on the music alone.
All RedBox tracks were produced at the same time, on the same wave of inspiration, they compliment each other though being completely different.

Centre Of Nowhere Radio Show #13 with Ed Davenport & DJ Selfhelp

‘Potential Current’ is a new album of club tracks, extended trips and experiments written between 2018 and 2020. Blessed with extra time, improved sleep and focus during the ongoing 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, I set out to finalise the tracks, editing, mixing and mastering them as a whole body of work. These 14 tracks have been central in my DJ sets over the past 2 years, forming a narrative of stand-out, personal moments on dancefloors around the world - from bangers to blissed-out ending themes. I hope you enjoy it!
