With a musical career including album and single releases on LTJ Bukem’s legendary Good Looking Records imprint, Creative Source, Eastside Records, Innerground Records as well as his own label Human Elements, and musical collaborations with producers such as Zinc, A-Sides, DJ Marky, Greg Packer, vocalists Deeizm or MC Conrad to name but a few, Makoto is a leading figure of the underground scene in Japan and has gone on to be one of the most highly respected artists in the Drum & Bass genre, pushing his unique blend of fast breaks and soul drenched music to every corner of the globe as both a DJ and a producer.

Makoto released his highly acclaimed ‘Souled Out’ album at the end of 2011 on Human Elements. The album features many talented vocalists and session musicians and explores various tempos, breakbeats and musical worlds. ‘Souled Out’ is a culmination of the breadth of experience and talent Makoto brings to each track which credits his name. With his first 12” on 7even Recordings, Makoto opens again new musical perspectives, infusing the Amen Break to a 135bpm flex on ‘Different Rhythm’ and his unique soulful treatment to the massive ‘What Do You Want’.

Sadly it’s not, so it’s up to others to put the deeper side of drum’n’bass on the market these days. We're all up for that, so look no further!

Dissident is the production name of Russian based Stanislaw Sevostyanikhin. Residing in St.Petersburg on the shore of the Baltic Sea, he has spent the last eleven years slicing beats, sampling street and industrial sounds and perfecting his unique sound. 

Dissident is one of those talented artists with a shocking lack of releases, so we decided we would give him an extra push, and let him deliver a high quality double A-side.  
'Nothing Outside Nothing' comes at you with rolling beats and percussion, layered with Russian chanting and ethnic instruments, delivering blows with its massive neurofunk basslines: certainly exploring new terrain for the label. 
'Blind Viewer' is something you’ll have to hear for yourselves: a future funk slice of half-tempo atmospheric glitch-step.

Absys Records Limited sublabel shows up again, now with this "Deep Dubstep Compilation". Twelve tracks, most of them in 140 bpm tempo, are brought to our attention by various artists from all around the world, many of whom previously contributed their work to the label with great outcome. As Absys had proven before, quality is constant, but each single track differs in atmosphere, as the range of influences is very wide. We are cruising from dark and brooding concerns in "Inhale" and to the lighter touch of summer in Barefoot's "Sundance", ethnic elements in "Unsafe Operations" are moving towards some catchy vocals and stabs in LeStR "Vapour", sense of ethereal feeling of "Queen of Heaven" to overwhelming power of doubt in Nuage's "Let me Believe" – it is all here. Those twelve diverse works available on CD and digital in all respected stores, so do not hesitate and grab yourself a copy !
