Side I. Cartridge – Just Let Go

The enfant terrible of the drum'n'bass scene, Scott Koladich a.k.a. Cartridge, would have been a glamrocker had he lived before his time. He steps up to the plate with the masterful 'Just Let Go', which was produced 5 years ago according to Scott himself. 

The tune has everything befitting a future (timeless) classic: a hypnotizing vocal hookline,  a tough rolling B-boy breakbeat workout and a throbbing pulsating bassline propelling the tune ever forward into the breakdown where layers of trance-inspired pads introduce the second coming and together with the unrelenting vocal line lift the tune to it's climactic apotheosis.

Cartridge has officially quit Drum & Bass, as Scott has claimed several times over the last few years, but his gems keep (re)surfacing so you never know what to expect in the future.

Side C. Dissident – Nothing Outside Nothing / Blind Viewer

Dissident is the production name of Russian based Stanislaw Sevostyanikhin. Residing in St.Petersburg on the shore of the Baltic Sea, he has spent the last eleven years slicing beats, sampling street and industrial sounds and perfecting his unique sound. 

Dissident is one of those talented artists with a shocking lack of releases, so we decided we would give him an extra push, and let him deliver a high quality double A-side.  
'Nothing Outside Nothing' comes at you with rolling beats and percussion, layered with Russian chanting and ethnic instruments, delivering blows with its massive neurofunk basslines: certainly exploring new terrain for the label. 
'Blind Viewer' is something you’ll have to hear for yourselves: a future funk slice of half-tempo atmospheric glitch-step.

Moldy has made quite a name for himself as a DJ, playing at lots of parties in NYC, and an up and coming producer. 
Last year he also started the highly successful dubstep label ‘Heavy Pressure’, garnering rave reviews and support.
‘Assassin’ is a top grade exercise in using minimal ingredients to cook up a maximally effective tune.
Some of the nicest drum work we have heard with the Tighten Up break, an added dubby vocal commanding you to attention with the help of the bassline kicking in with the drop: it all combines to delivers a top class dance floor smasher. "A second e-side is delivered by John and even longer time friend Lennaart. They made music as ‘Moving Forward’ from 1998 until around 2002 when changes in their respective personal lives caused an indefinite hiatus. 
‘U Know My Shadow’ was made on an Atari, an old Roland Juno 106 and a Boss 8 bit sampler and recorded in one of the very productive Sunday afternoon sessions in Lennaart’s studio. 
It is an electronic composition where the Juno delivers both bass and several melody lines. Sampled crusty 8 bit beats provide a framework over which these elements work to an epic crescendo in true oldskool acid fashion."
