Mark Bailey aka MAN2.0 has been splicing together sounds longer than he can remember, as a teen he graced the microphones of some terrible covers bands as well as DJing some of the most hedonistic house parties that Hayes Town had to offer, while by day working at the local record store. After throwing away his guitars and buying an appregiator his music gained a bit of attention from the Ransom Note and was taken under the wing of Tronik Youth. From the age of 18 he regularly attended Fabric and the now defunct End nightclub and Turnmills immersing himself in London’s club scene. With forthcoming releases on Nein and Night Noise, he gets the opportunity to attempt to emulate the sounds of his heroes Laurent Garnier, Darren Emerson, Ivan Smagghe, Andrew Weatherall and Justin Robertson.

Telavivusession #24 - Guest Mix By MAN2.0 (London)

@RichardRossa 's Stockholm based label Tom Tom Disco has become synonymous with quality and a home for spaced out, tribal disco that has gained legions of fans across the globe. Whether hosting a stage at festivals like Fusion or their music playing at intimate underground venues, the labels sound acquires the most discerning of electronic music enthusiasts and has a life of its own.

Recently we collaborated with the label and a selection of the Tom Tom Disco family to support Ballroom Blitz and Palestinian Radio Alhara to raise money for those most affected by the explosion in Beirut. Over the course of the coming week we're delighted to share the sets during this radio event via the Sinchi Channel. Featured artists include Leonor, Tushen Raï & Warum, Cornelius Doctor, Bufi, Hanzo & Yaman, Tony Disco, Rigopolar and Lucare b2b with Aurum.

@HanzoandYaman are a DJ/Producer duo and the heads behind @BellyDanceServices, a music label based in Vienna and Istanbul. Together they share their devotion to music and reckless attitude to creating tunes that make people want to move their bellies. Their multi cultural background mirrors the variety of sounds they create which identify as musical collages that aim for unity.

This Sunday evening we welcome Globemaster; the Mexican sound engineer and producer born in Torreón, co founder Próximo and part of the team at Maleante Records.

His influences are as rock, some post punk and rave music, which has leading him up to techno, psychedelic, and indie dance mixed sounds.

MIX008 - K-EFFECT

Spanish DJ and producer; Jesús Aparicio has published music continuously and under different aliases since 2004. He was resident Dj in emblematic clubs in Salamanca (Cubic, Submarino, Clavel Ocho..) where he improved his technique playing and selecting music.

In 2012 he began producing music under the alias “Parissior“, influenced by a mix of funk, italo-disco, new wave, electro, industrial, leftfield genres. Since then he has placed several Sales numbers one in digital sales, and has remixed large producers of these styles, as Dj Rocca (@dj-rocca), Rayko (@mrkrokett), Jason Peters (@jpsoul), Shubostar (@shubostar), Daniel Monaco (@danielmonaco) or K-Effect @keffectmusik), bands like We Are Standard / WAS (@we-are-standard), and has been remixed too by names like Freudenthal (@freudenthal), MAN2.0 (@man2point0), Franz Scala (@franz-scala), Julian Sanza (@juliansanza), or Fingerman (@fingermanedit) to name few. 

Today he produces music for labels as Nein (@neinrecords), Esthetique (@esthetique-lab) or Rare Wiri (@rare-wiri-records) among others, and runs his own label: Espacio CIELO (@espaciocielo). He also works with different brands producing exclusive music, and as mixing engineer in K-Effect Mastering services.

In a world turned upside down, where chaos reigns and uncertainty is the only constant, we, a disparate band of souls, found sanctuary in the most unexpected of places: the Counterterraism Guest Mix Series. The name itself mirrored the core of our purpose.

Counter, the antithesis, and Terra, the Earth, symbolise our ceaseless battle to navigate the tumultuous sea of a world in disarray. 

Week after week, we invite a guest, a luminary of the electronic music realm, to share their melodies and tales. These auditory odysseys become the score for our uncharted lives.

Amidst a world veering from its familiar course, we embrace it. We dance to a new rhythm, a reminder that even in a world turned strange and unrecognisable, our connection to the Earth and one another is a tether to acceptance. Life, it seemed, had taken a different path, and we, in the harmonious discord of Counterterraism, found an unconventional beauty.
