The first track of this mix was a hard act to follow but it was great throughout. 

Simon started DJing in 1989 - first off, mainly in the Midlands area of the UK and moving on to the Hereford area in the 90's - Promoting techno night; Fetish Every Friday night with the likes of Dean Thatcher, Craig Walsh, Trevor Rockcliffe, The Advent, Daz Saund, Alex Knight, Luke Slater, Mr C and Surgeon.  Simon also DJ'd and promoted Pychosis, Politics of Dancing and a House night promoting up and coming DJ's like Steve Lawler and Chad Jackson. 

Simon has also DJ'd at a number of underground parties in Sweden.

Counterterraism Guest Mix 85: Simon Spencer

In a world turned upside down, where chaos reigns and uncertainty is the only constant, we, a disparate band of souls, found sanctuary in the most unexpected of places: the Counterterraism Guest Mix Series. The name itself mirrored the core of our purpose.

Counter, the antithesis, and Terra, the Earth, symbolise our ceaseless battle to navigate the tumultuous sea of a world in disarray. 

Week after week, we invite a guest, a luminary of the electronic music realm, to share their melodies and tales. These auditory odysseys become the score for our uncharted lives.

Amidst a world veering from its familiar course, we embrace it. We dance to a new rhythm, a reminder that even in a world turned strange and unrecognisable, our connection to the Earth and one another is a tether to acceptance. Life, it seemed, had taken a different path, and we, in the harmonious discord of Counterterraism, found an unconventional beauty.
