At night, when we peer out of our windows at the darkness that stares back, we feel safe within an illusion of security that stems from that which we know and accept as ‘good’ and ‘right’--or “civilized” in our society. This compelling musical expression is an alarm clock for those who are reluctant, or unable to accept the dark side of reality—an awakening from the blissful dreams of innocence, to the remote horrors existing all around us. 
	Every track dismantles the fragile illusion of our civility and sense of control, forcing us to accept the insidious shadow inherent to our own human nature. To avoid this grim truth, we project our own vices onto the unknown and distance ourselves from what we cannot or refuse to accept; thus, never allowing ourselves to dwell upon the evils of the world. We keep to the paths familiar to us, locking our doors at night before drawing the curtains to allow just enough moonlight to chase away the shadows waiting in the dark. Whether consciously or not, we allow ourselves to be submerged in distraction and denial.
	Perhaps, this fear is merely an effort to tame ourselves—to contain the parts of our nature society has deemed “unacceptable—in an attempt to hide behind the material trappings of “civilized” society. In The Prism of Delusion the album presents the listener with the reflection of an ethereal soundscape, which at times can appear as a landscape of lonely emptiness, but then finds oneself in  a claustrophobic metropolis of segregated realities. Upon listening, one has been laced with the infamous red pill, enabled to see the world without the limitation of such trappings, and forced to confront the fact that the shadows, or the unknown we fear most, not only exists within our world, but also within ourselves.
