Cousins Alfie and Billy Goffey formed ‘Cousn’ at the age of 16. Both from highly musical backgrounds they began to create their own unique sound. Each track crafted by the Goffey’s is an array of past subcultures. From the 90s techno rave scene, the DIY approach of the punks, and the eccentricity of acid. It’s the freedom that comes with escaping to the dancefloor that continues to push Cousn’s endless journey to never be pigeonholed.

Cousn got off to a blistering start in their career, with their Debut EP ‘Juggle’ being named Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune. Cousn were then named as ‘Pete Tong’s Future Stars of 2019’ with the year starting off by supporting one of their idols Fatboy Slim across all 7 dates of his UK Arena tour.

Since then the boys have released 7 more EPs which have amassed over 2.5million plays on Spotify with all their tracks coming out on their own label FAMLY Records, with Are You With Us and Movement becoming Danny Howard’s Friday Fire and Jaguar’s Dancefloor Moment on Radio 1. With remixes of the likes of Jessie Ware, Elder Island, Allie X, Lau.ra and Surya Sen, Cousn have built up a wide ranging discography.

Playing mainly their own released and unreleased music, their raw high energy sound has managed to bag them sets at some of the top clubs & festivals including DC10, The Warehouse Project, Printworks, Wembley Arena, Motion, Glastonbury, Bestival, Wilderness, Secret Garden Party, Boomtown & Hideout.

Cousn also debuted their long awaited club night ‘FAMLY Connection’ in November 2021, selling out the brand new venue Bonkers Bar, situated in Dalston, London . The duo have sold out each of the 3 following nights since, with FAMLY Connection starting to build a solid following.

Cousn have been on Rinse FM for over 2 years now, starting in February 2020 the duos monthly shows have seen them strive to champion new upcoming artists, with an eclectic genre-defying hour of music being at the forefront of what they are about. A staple of the Cousn show is their own collective ‘FAMLY Connection’ - a Whatsapp group filled with promising young producers and artists of all ages and walks of life. Every 3 months Cousn record a ‘FAMLY Connection Special’ in which all the music comes from within the group, they also release FAMLY Connection guest mixes, in which members get to show off their sound for 30 minutes/an hour.

Cousn are set to release their long-awaited debut album 'FAMLY Jewels' on new label 'Jack Said What' later this year. Their feelgood first single from the album is ‘Fluffy Teddy Bear’, which has already been premiered by Jaguar on Radio 1. “‘Fluffy Teddy Bear’ is about that really unique feeling you get only in glimpses,” the Cousn boys explain. “You’re on the best dancefloor, the music’s pulsing through you, you’re coming up, wow… What a crowd it is tonight, everyone’s so friendly. I feel happy, I feel I belong… I just want to cuddle everybody here… Let me fluff you up and down! Stroke my fur, run your fingers through it, I DON’T CARE!”
