As we mark the milestone of POLAAR's 10th anniversary, we are thrilled to introduce a brand new compilation that defines our sonic territories and encapsulates the essence of our exploration in sound.
Driven by the desire of independance and passion for bass-driven rhythms and experimental sounds, Flore and his mate Marc decided to start POLAAR 10 years ago, with the ambition of shaping their unique Bass music sound, far from the code initiated by the UK club scene. Since then, we've been at the forefront of a musical revolution, championing diverse artists from all over the globe and pushing the limits of genre conventions.
Territoire / definition : Expanse of land, more or less clearly delimited, which generally presents a certain unity, a particular character.
Territoires Vol3 is a compilation in which we ask to our artists to remix a tune taken from our back catalog. It is a way to pay homage to this still relevant past releases and create a bridge between our past and present. A way to showcase the depth and diversity of our own vision, without rut of styles or BPM.

Following up from work on Björk´s 'Fossora', Icelandic trio 'sideproject' debut on SVBKVLT with their new full-length album 'sourcepond'. Taking influence from the fog-covered wetlands of their native island, sideproject transfigure influences from the low-end frequencies of grime and bass music, and reshape it into a haze of transient-smeared beats accompanied by breathy synths that grow ever wetter till they slip beneath the surface tensions of their harmonic stratum. Compared to previous output, 'sourcepond' opts for a more concise approach to their music, stacking up their influences of experimental electronic, Icelandic punk and contemporary club music, and builds a sound that oscillates between melodic hooks and experimental rhythms. Each track carves through the sensuous material, pulling the listener into the dank sourcepond as though magnetic forces were guiding a bird's beak towards misty horizons.

Cuban duo Burnt Offerings land on Taiwanese imprint Over My Body with an exhilarating four tracker of break core, hard drum and deconstructions. Arriving as the tenth instalment on OMB, the 'Transmute' EP is a deeply honest body of work that sonically represents the human spirit's resilience to overcome times of uncertainty and hopelessness. 

Our featured premiere, 'Departures', resonates with the feeling of letting go, moving on, and breathing in new life. Heartfelt melodies dribble gently over gushing break core patterns and quaking pads amidst strong string intermissions and charged synths. Quite an epic one this.
