Sanjonas, aka Yonaz Kristy, is a Yogyakarta-based artist, graphic designer, electronic music producer, and DJ. He is the co-founder of the Bast Cultura music collective; founder of RAR Editions (2012), an interdisciplinary collective focusing on research and archive-based projects; part of the SOFT/BRUTE Records label; and has recently started the label Ear Flux with Brrrz Studio.

Incunabula Heroes, the first solo album on POSTWORLD, is a speculative fiction-based album that envisions the recurring formation of new worlds in the aftermath of a revelatory apocalypse. Over 8 tracks, Sanjonas plays with the idea of how cultures and civilizations would be mixed and merged in such scenarios, with sensemaking thrown aside in favour of something visceral and universal.

In the words of Lyo XS, this is a production that nostalgically evokes the impulse to get closer to music, overcoming his insecurities that arose along the way and saying "ME VALE VERGA" this is what I like.
This project integrates emotions that she has collected along her path, which began as an accident or luck.

"Presión" is a track in which she mainly reflects her insecurities, her impostor syndrome and the constant thought of what they will say, if they will like it or if it will be enough.
Lyo XS turns all these insecurities into this piece, which has become one of her favorites.

MVLDEOJO es un DJ/productor de Cholula Puebla el cual tuvo su inicio en la escena del DJ sonidero de cumbia pero poco a poco fue encontrando su lugar y su sonido en la escena del club latino donde se empezó a desarrollar también como productor. Es un proyecto que busca no solo expresar aquello que lo rodea en su cotidianeidad, también y más importante aquello que lleva adentro y que lo mueve, sentimientos como la furia la melancolía, la calma y la frustración todo combinado es lo que se puede encontrar en su música.

Segunda de la primera tanda de residencias, compartimos el 1/4 de nuestro nuevo programa curado por @mavnuhels aka @brendainternational. Artista visual, productor y dj de la ciudad de Bogotá, Colombia.

Este programa tiene como eje central el imaginario de la montaña, y qué mejor manera que construyendo un imaginario colectivo que desquebraje toda cima y todo valle. Cada invitadx a este programa tendrá su visión sonora de estas montañas bajo la misma primicia: ¿Como te imaginas cruzando la montaña?

Estas montañas no todas son de roca, no todas son tangibles, no todas se suben. Son montañas que apilan un pálpito distinto para cada participante. Que diverso, que mágico.

Hice este mix a partir de varios de los referentes más predominantes en la forma en la que he hecho música en los últimos meses. Quería abordar la temática de “cruzar montañas” como una exploración textural, sobre todo a nivel percutivo. De alguna forma, lo escucho en retrospectiva como el descenso desde la montaña. Empezando con la contemplación de la vista desde la cima para luego entregarse un poco más a la gravedad que nos lleva a caer, sin dejarse ganar por esta última.

Scorpio Red is pleased to announce the release of Zeynep Ağcabay’s second EP, out on the 7th June 2024.

The Turkish born, London based artist’s 4-track release ‘Memories from the Future’ re-frames memory as a non-linear plane of time: visions and sounds collected from “memories” that are yet to occur but feel already lived. An effort to merge her self-titled spiritual folk project with her former ambient pop moniker mea0u, ‘Memories From The Future’ evokes a cyclical, nostalgic and trippy dream sequence. Distorted vocals, a nod to heavy exposure to Western pop influences, meet with samples of Turkish Ney flute and percussion reminiscent of "home".
