Second compilation of a “This Is How We Break…” series focused on breaks and bass music to enlighten our emerging electronic scene from France and abroad.

Based on the free interpretation of the ‘breakbeat’ genre, the breadcrumb trail of this second compilation is the theme “from happy to dark” (or the other way) to celebrate the fluctuation of emotions whether positive or negative. Over-cultivated positivism implies the rejection and the covering up of negative emotions… This compilation is here to reminds you to live fully your emotions and only think about what’s best for you. It’s OK not to always look on the bright side of things. Be gentle to yourself.

Barcelona-based creative platform ABUNDANCE is set to release their highly anticipated first compilation ‘FLORILEGI I’. Meaning a ‘collection of flowers’ in Catalan, this series of works aims to shed light on some of the most exciting sounds coming out of the city’s multi-faceted musical ecosystem. 

From B4MBA’s industrial dancehall version ‘Charmed Riddim’ and the driving, hardware-heavy techno of ‘H13’ by ellian, the modular tension and release in glxgls’ ‘Brr Brr’, to the dubbed out two-step of ‘cute nenas love groovin’’ by AINES & ALVVA. These fourteen standout tracks, plucked and arranged, showcase the wide range of genre cross-pollination occurring within the Catalan capital. 

ABUNDANCE is dedicated to championing local talent, serving as a non-profit artistic collective, record label and event organisers. This inaugural compilation is the beginning of a new chapter, connecting the dots from the diverse corners of the creative scene, expanding possibilities for collaboration for the future.
