Studied Clarinet and Theory at the Gibraltar Music Centre. Played clarinet in the local municipal band, Youth Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra.  Toured with a rock band as lead guitarist. Sang in the Tenor section of the Calpe Singers. Founder member of the Band of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment rising to Warrant Officer 2nd Class, appointed BSM. Musical Director of local productions of West End musicals. Conducts the “Calpe Band” and the “Gibraltar Band and Drums Association”.
Studied Music Education in UK. Taught in local schools becoming Headteacher at a Primary school.
Have written some processional, concert and military marches, including one for His Majesty the Sultan of Oman. I have received special mention at the  International Maurice Ravel soundtracks contest. One of my pieces is available on Ablaze Records. Another was premiered in Dallas. Some of my work is featured at AudioSparx. My compositions cater for different ensembles and genres.

An amateur composer.  I try to tell stories in my soundtracks so it's probably abit different than what you are used to, I don't follow any rules x) Huge fan of game and movie music so that naturally is my inspiration. I am using Cubase and East West, everything is played by ear as I have no clue how to write music at all.

Everything I make is available for download. I would ask that you approach me if you want to use it for a project however :)

Born 23th April 1975 (Ghent, B), ‘Wen’ (Wendy Van Dorpe) discovered her passion for music at the age of 5. She started having music lessons at the College of Music in Ghent and Lokeren, followed classes by different teachers as Mst. P. Norro (B), Ms. A. Kesteleyn (B), Mst. J. Duyck (B), Mst. L. Davies (UK), Ms. M. Harris (UK), etc ... She never left the piano ever since ...
 
Untill 12 years ago she performed regulary in Belgium and abroud, classical & popular repertoire, followed masterclasses and gave music lessons in theory, piano, organ, etc ... She specialized in A.W. Ketelbey's repertoire ...
 
Since she has been diagnosed 14 years ago with i.a. a muscular disease wich affects her playing a bit, she speaks through her own compositions for piano ... The way she expresses herself best. Allthough she's not as strong as she used to be and live life on wheels (power wheelchair) now, she regains every day her strength to keep her passion alive: 'Music' !
