In short, “Inspiration Before Expiration” the story behind the phenom Frankie Bellamy. Work hard to inspire people while you’re here, when you leave, your legacy will live on. After going through trials in life, Frankie decided that his legacy would live through his music. 

The moment that Frankie Bellamy realized that music was his first love was at the age of four, as the grandson of an award winning church choir director. His mother was a local singer and loved to say “my son stole my voice from me.” Many of his strongest musical influences – Luther Vandross, Anita Baker, Patti Labelle and other soul legends – are the result of his mother’s passion for soul music. 

Growing up an only child without a male father figure, he gravitated towards the males in music, like Tupac. Bellamy started to understand the things that Tupac would rap about and applied them to his own life. He often refers to Tupac as his “Paw” because he taught him so much about being a man just from listening to his music. 

In December 2010 he lost his Grandmother that raised him. This was the first time as an adult that was forced to deal with the loss of a close loved one. Less than a year later, his mother’s health took a turn for the worse. She had been battling with emphysema for 10 years and was waiting to receive a lung transplant. It took a lot for him to accept the fact that his mother probably was not going to make it. One of the last things she told him before she passed was that she wanted to see Frankie Bellamy to Graduate from college and see him on TV one day. He promised her he would do both of these things. 

After losing his mother, he decided he wouldn’t waste anytime and was on a mission to make his mother proud and put his heart and soul into his music.

In May 2012 Frankie walked across the stage and got his degree. He stuck to one of his promises.
