Just a little low effort thing I did by revisiting a small improv track I had made a while ago. I remembered the melody so I came back to it and (basically) massacred it audio-wise. Now it sounds like this. I haven't really sat down and made music for a while. And this is less about making music and more about capturing a feeling, so. I dunno. Hope it at least sounds like something to listen to? Eh.

I don't like this one as much but I guess it fits the vibe of the location it was made for. I think I used the cave story soundfont a lot around that time.

Astral Radiation

This one was really fun to make, since I had to try and make it sound like it was a pokemon rival battle theme. It belongs to a certain character who's... challenging??? There also was a version with barks in it, because he has a dog, but I took them off for that longer version. I think my friend might use this theme in a video since he does pokemon stuff. This theme gets hijacked by another character because she only ever exists by doing that, you can hear her saxophone in it.

I like this song a lot and it makes me think of one of my stories' protagonist a lot so I decided to make a cover myself, with singable lyrics I sort of mixed around with, and two english vocaloids. I actually did a japanese version too but lost progress. In the mean time, here is a WIP of this, going all the way to the first refrain/half of the song.

The original Instrumental was of course made by Kikuo himself, as well as the song (duh), I'd like to make my own recomposition of it but it's too much work and doesn't sood nearly as great. (Also I realize it's not as easy as I thought to hear well what they're saying...)

Here's the pretty much lost japanese version of the cover I made, I might not find the motivation to redo it all. But I figured I'd at least post the one remaining trace of it. I like Rin and Len better anyway, and the character I'm making this cover about could pretty much stand up as a third Kagamine sibling, by how she looks. Here's a theme I made for an old character who's been reworked into a different version of his story. I was sort of going for the feel of the kind of thing you hear playing in the background while interacting with him in a visual novel like setting (Friendsim for example). 

If you've followed me for a long time you might recognize both the character and the melodies used in this. It's essentialy a revamp of the old "Lotus Pensionnary" song. I like being able to see how far this story of mine has gone and changed over the years, along with the characters and what happens to them.  So this is kind of a way for me to assess it I guess? 
Normally I'd be saying something like "this is the theme you'd be hearing in this game I want to make" but at this point I think I'm just fine with posting this as it is. I'm gonna run out of space on this account anyway so might as well put out a few enjoyable things before it happens. I haven't really been able to really sit down and make music like I used to in a long time anyway. Hopefully people enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it.

Pleasant Melancholy

I am obsessed with Mari's theme from the game OMORI which is an amazing game so I had to make this. I did try remaking the song from scratch but as I suck and I know half the notes wouldn't end up in it I resorted to helping myself from the really cool and good sheet music made by Pianobin, who made the arrangement. The original track was composed by Pedro Silva from the OMORI music team of course.

I couldn't help but want to hear what this would sound like with the now famous Earthbound mellow piano used in Toriel's theme (along with the pads from there too). It's kind of more like just adding pointless flourish on top of an already more than amazing track, but oh well. I hope this makes you feel peaceful and if you played or watched the game I hope it makes you cry like I did (:

The soundtrack I immediatly knew would be stuck in my head forever the second I heard it. This here is my kinda shit, obviously.
Anyway I just felt like trying to recreate it (very poorly) and I guess also put a neat little transition between the original version and the piano one. It isn't much and it's pretty lazy but I had a little fun doing it at least.

The original theme was composed by Pedro Silva and Jamie Lynne.

Welcome To White Space (OMORI "remix" )

I just HAD to try and remake Basil's theme from OMORI because I love him so much. This one is based on the Daisy version of the song I think. I actually managed to retranscribe all the notes this time while helping myself with Pianobin's tutorial to know where the chords were, because I can't recognize this stuff on my own. I wasn't sure what instruments I'd be going for but I eventually picked some piano from Mother 3, and a harp sound I like from some other soundfont, and some really drowned out celesta I sort of burried in the background with so much reverb it almost sounds like a whistle.

I hope this sounds good enough, even though it isn't as much as I would have liked to do with this song.
