London DJ and producer Lex Luca follows up his highly-rated 'Bounce / Do It' release on leading UK house imprint Cr2 Records with another two hot house grooves on their sub-label Cr2 Trax.

Fast gaining a reputation as a talented producer, he's also a rising name as a DJ, having played alongside the likes of Dubfire, Todd Terry, Louie Vega, Coyu and Eli & Fur in recent times.

'I Feel' is propelled by classic house textures: chunky synth stabs, shuffling percussion and snippets of diva vocals. Fat snare builds and old skool break fills litter the breakdowns, with a seriously thick bassline groove underpinning the whole thing. 

'Best Thing About' is more of a heads-down affair, with a different flavour of classic techy stabs giving an atmospheric feel over a pumping groove and driving monotone bass. A commanding speech takes centre stage in the breakdown, and is deftly chopped and effected as a rhythmic element throughout the track. All in all it's another very solid and effective pair of tracks from this dependable producer.

"I'm really excited to be releasing my next EP with Cr2 Trax” he says. "I've been road-testing these two tunes at my recent gigs in Amsterdam, Stockholm, Miami and London and they've been getting a great reaction!" 

With support from the likes of Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Mark Knight, Roger Sanchez, Weiss, Mike Vale, these tracks come pre-approved and look set to make their mark on the biggest dancefloors across the world.

TCHAMI & MALAA - Prophecy

In the two years since his debut EP on Ultramajic, Berlin-based Chambray has dedicated himself to a sole musical purpose. Pick up any of his recent works, from his original productions to remixes for heavyweights like Amtrac and DJ Deeon, and you’ll hear cutting edge energetic aesthetics, all the ingredients for hatching an adrenalin rush and the creation of perfect dancefloor alchemy.

Chambray's debut album ‘Reliev’ is the embodiment of his positive energy that unites listeners from across scenes. His music strikes a careful balance and creates harmonic relationships between classic house heads, Chicago ghetto house shufflers and UK bass lovers.

Seamlessly woven together on ‘Reliev’ are jacking house beats, stabbing piano chords, crisp techno kicks and vocals from Chambray and his friends. Every track is laced with a common thread - a mechanically assisted funk that flows in synchronicity and grabs you by the guts. ‘Yousme' is an aerodynamic drum tool for eager feet, inaugurating a lethal set of tracks designed to free both body and mind. ‘Cerulean’, as the name suggests, colours up the cognitive pathway with more synth washes and piano stabs. Gearing up into full ghetto mode, the album peaks with ‘Qt Wit Da Bty’, a cheeky take on booty house. Chambray beckons you back to the floor with the chanting vocals of ‘Want it Back’.  ‘Acres’ sets the landscape for the album with rising synths, chord stabs and a pumping twisted tech funk groove.  Finally, ‘Treat Yo Self’ provides a refreshing mint with its aqueous synth notes flowing through the broken drum structure.

D-Unity 'Circles'
Unity comes correct with this new original banger called circles. Starting the track off with a mesmerizing vocal loop he stacks the track with solid drum work. As the track moves forward a kick drum crashes into the low end and knocks the subwoofers in the teeth. The track builds to a fever pitch never straying too far from its techno roots. If you like your Tech with no cheese grab this track and you'll be happy.

Alex Costa turns out a wicked remix of D-Unity's original techy banger 'Circles'. Trading in the sleek drum work for a more gritty, lo-fi sound, Alex Costa grabs that old school feel of a warehouse fed by a wall of speakers. Not timid in its approach this remix bumps from the start and doesn't stop till the end. If you like classic sounding techno made by a veteran, pick this remix up. You'll thank us later.

'Circles' Duss Remix
Duss returns to Overeasy Records with a solid new piece of dance material. This is their second remix of a D-Unity original off of Overeasy's line of techno releases.
