Allan Nunez makes a statement debut on Toolroom Trax with ‘Chorro de Agua’, a Latin House workout with rich, authentic sounds straight from the heart of South America. 

At the core of the production is a beautifully re-imagined sample from Gaiteros de Pueblo Santo, a traditional Columbian ensemble known for their raw, percussive sound and folkloric storytelling. And to lean deeper into their Latin roots, Allan brings in the unmistakable voice of Cumbia Queen, a seasoned South American vocalist whose voice carries generations of authenticity. 

‘Chorro de Agua’ respects the source material while giving it new life for the dancefloor, balancing driving house beats with layers of live instrumentation and percussion. A track that hits hard in the club, but still honours the spirit of Latin music.

KEYTARBI is one of these rising stars that has caught our ears, her “Quito” cut delivering the kind of uptempo chug we want in a left-field set. The wonderfully oddball “Pancakes” is her debut for us. Featuring the spoken tones of legendary house vocalist Robert Owens. “It ain’t over,” he tells us, “until Bertha calls you into the kitchen, for some of her delicious pancakes.” We have no idea what he’s on about either, but with a groove this good, who needs anything to make sense? It’s just a banger!

Based in Cartagena, Colombia, Juan Diazo is an in-demand ghost producer but also a solo artist who cooks up all forms of house music. The Demos Imus Records head has released his sounds on the likes of Senssual Records, Miami 305 and World Sound Recordings and mixes expert sound design with fresh arrangements to ensure every tune cuts through.

His latest is the excellent 'Conditions', a densely textured, high-pressure house cut driven by vamping chords and tightly coiled drums. It rolls like an oncoming tsunami with sweeping filters and precision builds that ratchet up the tension as sultry, half-whispered vocals weave through the groove to bring a sensual edge. After a spine-tingling breakdown, thunderous drums and cosmic FX push into interstellar territory and sweat-soaked release.

It’s a star-studded collaboration on Toolroom Trax as cultures collide between original Latin flavours and big club beats from STBAN and James Hurr.

Latin House producer and label head of Flamenca Records, STBAN makes his debut on Toolroom Trax with a collaboration that’s feels fresh and authentic. Known for championing house music laced with flamenco influences, STBAN has been carving out a lane that fuses tradition with the underground that stays true to his roots and sound.

On this new record ‘El Camino’, STBAN once again teams up with Josemi Carmona who layers original flamenco inspired instrumentation which is making these two quite the pair. To elevate the record further, they’ve invited Soleá Morente one of Spain’s most celebrated vocalists to deliver stunning original lyrics. Soleá’s career has spanned everything from indie flamenco to high-profile collaborations which brings an expertise of organic flamenco edge.
