PH1LyesPH1L is a Chicago born, Los Angeles based singer/songwriter whose carefree, deranged music draws inspiration from a wide musical spectrum ranging from Pavement to Kurt Vile to Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd. He's a lyrical wit with a keen sense of balance between irony and humor, never taking himself too seriously but always making meaningful statements. His history with bands the Grommits, the Magic of Cinema and StopRevolt have made him  a seasoned stage performer whose songs, distilled into their purest form on his acoustic guitar, always leave an impression on audiences, no matter what the venue. His forthcoming debut, PH1LyesPH1L vs The Imaginary Army is a testament to his well-tuned ear for melody and engineering, merging his knack for songwriting with an ever-evolving arsenal of production concepts that are at once basely simple and infinitely complex.
