Future Avenue proudly presents its third season compilation of the year. This compilation serves as a platform where we support and nurture emerging talents, helping them take their first steps in the industry and guiding them toward releases on our other respected labels, such as Sound Avenue and 3rd Avenue. We are excited to introduce 20 talented artists from around the world, each contributing their unique sound to the realms of Progressive and Organic House. This third season sampler of the year highlights the diversity and creativity within the genre, and we are proud to welcome these artists to our label.

The second edition of Shell Tapes sees big boss Crabbe splice together swirling psychedelic house with raw, in your face club sounds and a healthy dose of contemporary acid.

A Perth export now residing in Melbong, Tim Gauntlett presents this third edition of Shell Tapes. Warm and hazy music for winter (or summer) afternoons, settle into a groove and let this playful hour of dusty house, disco and worldly sounds that span afro-beat through to Japanese city pop deftly slide a smile onto your face.

Shell Tapes returns an with intense, powerful and, above all else, thoroughly enjoyable half hour of power from Verity. A sonic reflection of the Winter just passed, growling left-field techno is deftly mixed with thump-in-your-boot electro, haunting breaks and contemporary rave sounds.

Isolation is in, partying is out (unfortunately). 
To fill that gap, Shell Tapes is back with friendly selections and even friendlier selectors. Restarting the series and logging the fifth tape is the inimitable Wil Bixler. 
A cornerstone at the Perth institution that is RTRFM, (youthful) veteran of the WA and Australian scene and mentor and mate to many, he’s presenting eighty five minutes of choice new releases, so hold tight for a slick and eclectic ride that runs through hazy hip-hop, all the way through to manic jungle and beyond. Yosh!

Just as gilded rays of winter sun break through chilly clouds and chilly times, this week's Shell Tape showers us with spiritual smiles and warm euphoria.

Coming direct from Boorloo tastemaker, party starter (repping Turnt Tables, Hypnox, Sealed Section and RTRFM's Full Frequency) and all around lovely person Ephacy, "Winter Dream" is exactly what it says on the box. A sublime dance music excursion that clocks in at just an under hour, the mix was beautifully described as "those little pockets of sun you get through the clouds" by EPHACY herself and we reckon those words sum it up perfectly.

Coasting effortlessly through dreamy downtempo styles, tripsy techno experiments and hands-in-the-air-eyes-closed house rollers, step out into your garden and have prance during this evening's golden hour. You won't regret it.

@ChebDionaldo is a very good friend from the fam. Based in Madrid he's a very interesting selector. He host a program in @radio-relativa called "Bocata di Cardinale" which as its name says, stands up for beautiful and sublime music. This mix is pretty trippy, disco, house (kinda downtempish), with such nice slow vibes. Just sit back and enjwoyyy **

TOMBOLOMIXX 023 - Dionaldo

Butter Sessions tees up a flawless duo, Naarm (Melbourne) based artists Mousse(Simon Barry) and Trevor(James Vinciguerra) for a split 7" release with a screen-printed sleeve. Both artists add the release to their highly-regarded archives. On the A-Side, Mousse submits Northstar. This is his second contribution to Butter Sessions; a robust follow up to his funky explorations showcased on the Bungalow Classics12". On the flipside, Trevor follows up his 2019Becoming a Bed LP(Alter)with the astute Darron.


As one can expect, Mousse's Northstar is soaked in infectious house sequencing and sci-fi hypnobeat, while laced with dialogue extracted from the 1986 anime film Fist of the Northstar. The B-Side track Darron sees visual artist Trevor jumping from his contribution to the record sleeve into the record itself. The piece emits glitchy electro bound in coarse breaks but with just the right amount of room to breathe. As two punchy aligned compositions, this split release introduces a powerful pairing.
