Tiny thoughts, fractals of emotion and gentle changes in direction all contribute to an overarching picture. Tape 71 appears in the afterglow of a life affirming weekend, drawing introversion out from moments of extreme extroversion and reformatting them into dance music.

This week, right before our very ears, Sleepy J sketches out an extra deep hour-long composite of your mind’s most inner dancefloor. There are no hurried changes in this mix, no uncomfortable cardiac arrest bass drops and no misplaced or unaligned track selections. Simmering pseudo-alien basslines, dubbed out percussion and gentle injections of uptempo house permutations are dished out with care and in perfect sequence, a dancer’s mindful stomp curated with excellence.  

One part mong-out-in-a-beanbag and one part close-your-eyes-and-plant-yourself-front-left, “Sea To Scarp” is 100% quality.
