Solid Steel Radio Show 22/5/2015 Hour 1 - Tensnake

The second episode of the microCastle podcast welcomes label artist Jamie Stevens. The Australian producer is coming off the release of his second original project for us entitled 'The Healing'. Released earlier this month, the four track EP featured a Guy J remix  and was a huge success reaching #7 and #2 in the Beatport overall and Electronica Top 100s respectively. The EP's lead cut, the deep and emotive 'My Tears Don't Help Me' has been regarded as some of Jamie's most unique work to date and also reached #1 in the KissFM Australia charts. For Jamie's podcast showcase we've chosen his live set from the Chameleon Recordings 7 year anniversary event from August 15th.  Jamie had the honour of closing the event out and it was certainly one to remember, as he effortlessly worked through varied styles of hypnotic techno and indistinct melodies,  to an eventual finale where at the urging of Chameleon Recordings boss Steve Ward, he drops his classic Infusion bootleg of Kate Bush 'Running Up That Hill', now over 13 years old and was a favourite of Sasha, Digweed, Nick Warren and a long list of other DJs for quite some time. Community is everything at Nowadays. The Brooklyn space is a focal point of New
York’s electronic scene, known as a second home to a talented group of local resident DJs, as well as a large number of the city’s LGBTQ+ clubbers. In addition to the indoor floor pictured, the venue
spans a larger outdoor terrace (home to the club’s much-loved Mister Sunday series through the summer) and a restaurant called Diner by the Izakaya, and with a rare 24-hour licence, the biggest parties can often stretch well into the following day. 

To represent the sound of the club, DJ Voices laid down an atmospheric set of broken club rhythms,
jungle and more.

What started as a live stream at Moscow’s Mutabor on 3rd May 2020, has morphed into the first instalment of a new digital compilation series on трип: Hot Steel. 
The concept is simple: trip head Nina Kraviz announces the stream date and sends out a call to artists for their unreleased work to oidodekraviz@gmail.com, all genres are welcome. After the stream takes place, the favourite tracks are signed and a few weeks later Hot Steel is released. 

To kick off the series, Hot Steel features newcomers, fresh talent and already established artists from all over the world: from New Zealand to Spain, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Poland to the US and Canada, but also Russia, France, the Netherlands and Georgia. 

Hot Steel will be released on 19th June to join Bandcamp in their commitment on that day and give 100% of the sales from the compilation to NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
