This is the first part (of three) of the night recorded at 3001 in Düsseldorf/Germany on September 12 2009 - just a few days before he had the fatal plane crash (which happened on Sep 19).
 I know this set is already floating around in the world wide web but I still would like to share it with you.... he sadly passed away 3 year ago from today. 

You can listen to 16-17 minutes of my warm up set before AM took over. He played for almost 3 hours and did a little back to back Hip Hop classics set with me and the homie Kid Kareem to close the night.

As for most of today´s hip hop or eclectic/mash up DJs - he was a huge inspiration for me.... and a super nice and friendly person as well!

Maze hooked up with Belgium´s finest Baby Bang, Prince Dutch from the U.K. and female dancehall artist Ochi Queen to cook up some heat for the clubs.

Get up is a massive club tune with a catchy hook and spreads high energy dancehall vibes.

Me and Shorty took Ochi Queen´s part of the original tune and chopped it up a little bit to create a sort of Moombahton remix of this joint with a heavy bassline.

West Coast G-Funk Mix

A few friends pushed me to follow up on the 80s mix I did a few years ago. But I decided to take a closer look at what happened in the 90s. 

Unfortunately a few songs I´ve used to do this mix are incredibly bad... :) 
I tried to spice it up with a few of my favorite movie quotes of epic flics and tv shows such as Seinfeld, American Pie, There´s something about Mary, The Simpsons, The big Lebowski or Pulp Fiction.

If you wanna know why The Verve made only 1000 bucks with their international smash hit "Bittersweet Symphony" and what the real message behind the Spice Girls hit "If you wanna be my lover" was  - you should join me on a journey through this decade.

What´s cracking´?! The 90s Edition - Pop, Rock, Dance, Hip Hop and whatever… and you should now the deal already - don´t take it toooo serious. It´s all about being creative and having a good time, right?
