From humble origins in Detroit, raised on a healthy diet of Motown, Jazz and early Hip Hop – Terrel Wallace (aka Tall Black Guy) has become a standard bearer for the current hip hop beats scene. Through a steady stream of productions filled with incredibly clever sample flips and deft production chops, he has won fans across the world, including Gilles Peterson (who included him on one of his Brownswood Bubblers albums), Lefto, Anthony Valadez, Jazzy Jeff, Questlove and countless others. With the tangible beginnings of worldwide recognition, Tall Black Guy has established himself to be one of the most influential producers working today.

2011-2020 has seen TBG's first vinyl releases with bstrd boots, First Word Records, Ubiquity Records and his own imprint Tall Black Guy Productions (TBGP). We are a collective of about 25 local musicians connected by the music we love! We draw our influences from reggae, ska, jazz and classical music.

Legendary Bristol pianist JOHN BAGGOTT is best-known for his work with Portishead, Massive Attack and (currently) Robert Plant & The Sensational Spaceshifters, but his love of jazz is deep-rooted. Prepare to be amazed by the quicksliver dexterity of his right-hand runs, and left-hand work that threatens to put bass-players out of business.Trumpeter PETE JUDGE is similarly most familiar from leftfield contexts including the mighty Get The Blessing and acoustic multi-instrumentalists Three Cane Whale. Together, they form a lyrical, heartfelt, acoustic contemporary jazz duo, exploring John's original compositions and unexpected standards with equal conviction.
