These are my favorite ear ticklers that I've made as Craftal. Making this music was fun, challenging, frustrating, and rewarding. I tried to do something a little different in the increasingly homogenous world of "Bass Music". It was all just a test. I hope I accomplished that, I hope you enjoy it, and I hope that my future artistic endeavors interest you as well.

The latest 1 More Mix is special, and it comes courtesy of Brighton’s very own, Bunkle.

Top selector, experimental producer, label manager, Bass Bin owner. These are just a few of the many strings to Bunke’s bow, one thing is for sure, he has come a long way since attending the squats and raves which inspired his next moves into the scene.

With many releases on his own imprint, Wonkay Records, Bunkle’s most recent solo project was his track Feral, part Wonkay’s latest VA, HATARI, which dropped in June and includes artists like Seppa, Confusion, Mahsiv, Naga, Ki ZEN, Scheme Boy, A\D|D/L, Aytch, MacheeeN Boi, Ars Dada and Joro Dudovski.

This brings us nicely onto this truly special mix, why is it special you ask? This mix was recorded live at Bunkle’s most recent performance where he shared the decks with some major names like Audio, Prolix and The Upbeats at Blackout Music’s recent event in collaboration with Basskonection at Volks Nightclub in Brighton.

Fire Circle Mix (Great Lakes Flow Retreat '24)

Based in Denver, CORD is a Native American DJ and producer renowned for his innovative blend of creativity and technical mixing skills. Originally from New Mexico, he finds inspiration in the majestic Colorado mountains. With over two decades of DJing experience, he began his journey in the early 2000s with breaks, but discovered his passion for dubstep in 2009, consistently pushing the boundaries of sound while championing the underground music scene.
In addition to his performances, CORD hosts "Bassment Sessions" on Subtle Radio in London, UK, a show dedicated to spotlighting emerging artists, which airs every first Monday from 12 to 1 AM GMT. His artistic vision extends beyond music, encompassing graffiti, art, photography, and design, making him a truly multifaceted creator.

Succeeding the release of Desert Dwellers’ monumental Breath album, Amani and Treavor continue their patronage to cultural celebration and musical heritage with Breath Reimagined Vol. 1. Featuring an abundance of new-comers to the Desert Dwellers sound, this inaugural volume shall precede a trilogy of remix albums to come from the ingenious duo. Throughout Breath Reimagined, 14 brilliant producers within the psychedelic and world-fusion communities exhibit 14 euphonious recreations, each derived from one of the original 10 tracks.

Falling into an altered state of consciousness, Halfred recreates “Dreams Within a Dream” with dub bestrewn over alluring instrumentals. Once you leave your meditative state, Nanosphere merges seductive instrumentation with funky low frequencies as we continue “Traversing the Endless Road.” Forging ahead, Gumi guides you through a turbulent wind of dynamic and atmospheric beats in “Closed Eyes in a Dust Storm.” Traveling by foot, you discover the “One That Shows The Way” through MantisMash’s sonorous synths and Somatoast’s soprano rendition. 

As you begin “Longing For Home,” DISSØLV raises the original downtempo piece an octave higher to create a sonic soundscape while Mindex incorporates elements of glitch. Mumukshu reinvents the original global folk “At Last, Our Refugee” track into a resounding four-minute bass voyage that overlays an accelerated tribal trap foundation. “Praise Her, the Fire Keeper” receives reimaginations from Pitch Black, who adds a bass backdrop to the tranquil piece, and TRIBONE, who takes the composition underground. As listeners continue to explore the “Realms of Splendor,” DRRTYWULVZ commences a series of bass undertones as metal continuously rattles together in Erothyme’s recreation. Globular’s Vicious Ether Remix of “To Be the Air” fosters an upbeat environment for the buoyant acoustic atmosphere. Compelling you back into deep meditation as Breath Reimagined concludes, Bluetech’s Berlin School Mix introduces Holotropic Breathwork to “Breathing the Mysteries.”

We've had our eye on Resonant Language for a while now. Establishing himself early on as one to watch, he returns to Addictech Records to easily exceed our expectations with his latest release the "Wiggle Bin EP".

Throwing around sound design and perfectly textured bass like a ragdoll, he dances around the system with smacking percussion that wrestles with tweaked out edits and psychedelic mayhem. Each tune is an expression of his distinct audio graffiti as he bombs it across your mind.

A one man band, he not only produces the music, does his own mastering, and generates his own artwork, we've heard he rolls one of the finest blunts in Colorado. Enjoy another serving of this gourmet glitch.
