Senyawa’s Alkisah release is an experiment in decentralised music distribution. The duo of Rully Shabara and Wukir Suriyadi held an open call from which they selected 44 music labels disseminated across the world to participate by creating different versions of the work for different regional markets. The connections forged during this monumental project continues today as The Alkisah Network. Ahead of a presentation and panel discussion at CTM, the network has kindly shared a mix of some of the many Alkisah remixes out there.

It all started with a simple Handpan recording...
Its sound sparked something deep inside me. Then came the Afro-house style kicks and percussions, building the pulse of the track.
With my lovely PSR Santana electric guitar, I added some ambient tones, a floating space between earth and sky.
Finally, the soulful Persian Kamanche joined in, bringing the spirit of the East into this modern blend.
That’s how Echo of Us was born, the echo of all of us, in a world where borders are fading.

گاهی موسیقی از برنامه و ایده شروع نمی‌شه، از یک لحظه شروع می‌شه.
یه روز صمیمی‌ترین هم‌راهم یک هنگ‌درام آورد به استودیوی من در دوسلدورف…
صداش و وجودش فضا رو پر کرد، انگار نوری وارد اتاق شد.
با Neumann TLM 102-و Avalon Sp 737 preamp ضبطش کردم، بعد چند کیک و پرکاشن آفروهاوس ساختم و کار جوون گرفت.
بعد با گیتار مورد علاقم PSR Santana چند لایه اتمسفریک اضافه کردم، و فضای کار رویایی‌تر شد.
اما جادو وقتی اتفاق افتاد که حسین کاشف با کمانچه‌اش اومد.
با هم خندیدیم، گپ زدیم، او نواخت و من ضبط کردم…
یه قطعه که نه فقط از صدا، بلکه از احساس و دوستی ساخته شد.

Craie is the duo formation of Amédée de Murcia and François Fournet.
Behind the first stand Somaticae, a solo based on percutions and bruitism, playing around broken and sharp rythms, flooded in larsens and saturation. 
On the opposite, François Fournet has first built a melancholic and melodious identity as KollektivTraum, his first solo that he reinvested in Dezeffe, his second solo that resolves around rythms filled with breaks and setbacks. 
Craie is the intersection of these two musical sides, the result of Amédée de Murcia’s chirurgical accuracy, melt in François Fournet’s sentimental fog.

Craie est un duo composé d’Amédée de Murcia et de François Fournet. 
Au côté de ce premier se tient Somaticae, solo percussif à l’approche résolument bruitiste, se jouant de rythmes cassés et aiguisés, baignés de larsens et de saturation. 
En opposition, le premier alias de François Fournet, KollektivTraum, construit une identité mélodieuse et mélancolique, réinvestie dans une approche plus breakée pour son dernier projet : Dezeffe. 
Craie se veut l’intersection de ces deux univers, la résultante de la précision chirurgicale d’Amédée de Murcia, accouplée à la brume sentimentale de François Fournet.
