Jamaica’s Most Versatile Dj, DJ Tyler 

His diverse “playing field” which spans from the 90s to current music of all genres, including Electronic Dance Music (EDM) and SOCA, is paramount to his drive to become one of the “top dogs” amongst the DJ industry. It has also allowed him to bridge the gap between playing for teenagers around his age who will be able to relate to him on a more direct level and playing for a more mature audience who will admire him for his accomplishments of being able to select for their age group.

Some of his major accomplishments include playing as a Third Dimension DJ at the internationally renowned Major Lazer concert held in December 2016 at The Mass Camp. The Colour Me Happy Run which is a charity event put on by  Kind Hearts Foundation whom thrive to build more Basic Schools around Rural Jamaica, Guest DJ on the more recent Loose Cannon Tours. Who also Plays at Fiction Fantasy Night club and “Various birthdays” and other private events, and a always welcomed DJ at Ribbiz Ultra Lounge.

Tyler Chung, More popularly known as DJ Tyler, realize his passion for music when he started to frequent his father's, Brian Ribbie Chung, establishment Ribbiz Ultra Lounge, at the age of 13. Being the youngest at the lounge, Dj Tyler under the advice of his father sat for hours on end observing the more established and well known DJ’s such as DJ Kamal Bankay, DJ Audley and DJ Smoke whom quickly became his mentors. He also looks up to Martin Garrix a popular DJ, record producer and musician.
All three mentors saw the potential he had and his drive, however the first question they would all ask him was “you went to school today?” as they all see the importance of having a good and well rounded education.

After spending hours hovering over the senior DJ’s, Tyler began taking home the Lounge Mixer once not in use or asking to borrow senior DJ’s mixers to practice in the morning and late hours of the day.

After gaining some confidence, Tyler began asking more senior DJ’s to allow him a 15 minutes playing slot just to test the waters. Those 15 mins slots later turned into half an hour sets.

Being as independent and driven as he is to making his own name rather than “piggy backing” on his father’s Tyler saved his money from his minor gigs and purchased his own mixer as he noticed he quickly started receiving more and more requests.

Destined for greatness DJ Tyler moved from standing long hours observing other DJ’s to quickly being developed into who and where he is now, “Jamaica’s Youngest Most Versatile DJ, DJ Tyler” a 16 year old that's quickly making a name for himself in the Entertainment and Music Industry.
