Ashes in the wind

1st day of the #21DaysofVGM April challenge - going for some level select / map / world select music.  A short loop using an instrument I've never used before - a Duduk!

VGM Day 1 - Welcome to the farm, please select your favourite animal!

Day 2 of the #21daysofvgm challenge!  A shorter one today, but which took equally as long to make - a 'game over' theme! Feedback welcomed.

Day 3 of the #21daysofVGM April 2019 challenge! Was originally going for an escape theme for a sewer type of level, but it turned out a bit more spacey/sci fi then planned.  I wanted to have squelchy sounds, metallic hits, a driving bass and drums to create a sense of panic and stress, and I think I achieved that.  I also wanted to experiment with drum loops and samples, which I have never really used before.  Heavily influenced by the work of Darren Korb from his soundtracks to Supergiant games such as Bastion and Transistor.

VGM Day 3 - Escape from the sewer!

Day 4 of the #21daysofVGM April 2019 challenge.  A bit of RPG piano music for today - I see it playing alongside you discovering the villains troubled past, showing the player that things aren't as simple as black and white.  A bit Skies of Arcadia inspired!  I wanted to record the piano live, but in my sleepiness I kept playing it wrong... so I opted for midi instead!

Day 5 of the #21daysofVGM April 2019 challenge! A quick guitar piece I recorded on a Fostex multitracker that I haven't used in years.  I had friends over tonight so only had time to do something quick after they had gone, but I'm actually pretty happy with some of the ideas in this.  I imagine it accompanying the player as they travel across the world.

Day 9 of the #21daysofVGM April 2019 challenge.  Brief today was to make piece inspired music from a random country - I got Malawi, so made short loop with shakers, acoustic guitar, kick drum and a piano melody in lieu of vocals.

#21daysofVGM Day 16. Tried the 'Space Cowboy' brief. The Lonestar Ranger is a new live action Netflix *cough*bastardization*cough* of your favorite 90s anime. Here is the theme tune from the straight-to-DVD movie-tie-in videogame.
