Pleased to say that this 120 minutes defined a generation. 1999 was such a golden year for Trance music and many people reference this very set as opening their eyes to the power of Trance.

It's hard to believe how groundbreaking and well-polished some of the tunes that I selected and played out, really were!! This mix still sounds timeless judging by today's standards and features tunes from the likes of Tiesto and Ferry Corsten, long before they became household names. It will appeal to all those who love it fresh, raw and pumping!!! Ladies and gentlemen, 20 years ago to this month, I created my second Essential Mix (of four) which was broadcast on BBC Radio 1.

Hello again, 

A project that touched upon instances of brain power across a year and which consumed much of the Christmas holiday is proudly here to be presented - the 12th annual Global DJ Broadcast Classics Showcase. 

When I was growing up and falling in love with the medium of radio, I was so moved by the period between Christmas and New Year, when suddenly what day of the week it is doesn't feel important, and this was reflected on the radio with all the stations playing classic songs.

My goal was to take this inspiration towards my own radio show, and the Classics Showcase has grown to become one of the most emotionally resonating and long-standing episodes for fans each year, whether current, long-standing or lapsed.

And with the 12th edition, I hope that it's just as memorable as those before, with many championed trance and progressive tunes of our era, and also hidden gems which perhaps did not receive the recognition they deserved at the time.

The Republic of Gatecrasher event held in June signified 10 years since the iconic venue in Sheffield known as the Republic and spiritual home to so many of the Gatecrasher faithful, tragically burnt to the ground.

10 years on and the music still plays on! We all grew with the music from 1997-2007 and felt obliged to hold a commemorative party so as to celebrate those many joyous memories experienced at this momentous institution. Gatecrasher has always been about inclusion and was not only a tribute to all our regulars but also to those who never have had the opportunity to experience it first-hand.

In order to make this event unique, I wanted to try something different and completely out of my comfort zone! After many lengthy discussions, I made the conscious decision to go back to back with the entire main room lineup. From early doors until the final tune, everybody who attended was guaranteed a nostalgic, musical journey.

Post-Republic of Gatecrasher blues and it was really pleasing to have received so many positive and thought provoking comments with regard to how musically diverse it actually was. I wholeheartedly agree and thought it necessary to share these wonderful sets. Just listening back, you'll be really hard pushed to find such a wide range/variety of Trance to encapsulate one night!!!

Many thanks go out to Paul Pearson, Guy Ornadel, Matt Hardwick, M.I.K.E. Push, Marco V, Matt Darey and DuMonde (JamX) who all contributed to this amazing event by joining me on this 9 hour adventure. Now you can too ;).

We kickstarted November with the hugely anticipated return to AREA in Sheffield for Gatecrasher's 26th Birthday! An event where the music literally did all the talking!!! An A-Star DJ list with every single DJ playing on top form. When it comes to Gatecrasher, there is always are wonderful emphasis on family and on that night we all came together as one. We all laughed, danced and sang along to a Trance musical escapade under those rainbow assorted lasers.

Being a promoter and DJ, there is always that initial anxiety at the beginning of the night...."How will the night go?????" As you start to loosen up, after seeing the flow of smiling faces enter the club and move around, those hairs on the back of your neck suddenly begin to stand up. 

The next thing you know, you're DJing in front of a packed main dance floor and seeing all those arms raise up when anthems like "Rank 1 - Airwave" and "DJ Tiesto - Lethal Industry" get played. It reaches a crescendo with the grand finale of people singing in tune to my rework of "The Killers - Mr Brightside". That's when you know that you're in for a special night! Gatecrasher truly is the gift that keeps on giving!!

It was a true honour to be asked to play for a third consecutive Gatecrasher Sheffield event at the awesome Area venue, and even more so to hand over control of the decks to the one and only Sonique! I had an amazing time and enjoyed every minute of it, seeing the dancefloor fill up over the course of the set is such a great feeling and it's one of the reasons I love warm up sets.  I can't wait to do it all again at the Gatecrasher White Party on Sat 28th December!

Had a wonderful time playing for Journey's 9th Birthday in Cardiff and caught up with many fans and friends. Thanks to the Journey crew for hosting me. The crowd was absolutely fantastic and were really absorbed in the music. Also the venue, Aura needs a special mention with its dark and gritty underground vibe which added to the amazing atmosphere on the night.

Above you'll find the link to my EXCLUSIVE 3 HOUR CARDIFF REBOOTED set. I have a golden rule when it comes to modern trance which I couldn't help but break! My focus for productions and remixes has to be new, fresh and exciting!! I was really enjoying the flow of the mix that I just couldn't help but to include some beautifully reworked classics which erupted the dance floor!!!
