With 13 LPs and over 300 EPs released on iconic labels such as Harthouse, Superstition, Data Records, Hooj Choons, and Yoshitoshi, Oliver Lieb has been a driving force in electronic music for more than three decades.
He has remixed a wide range of artists—from globally recognized acts like Faithless, The Human League, Moby, and Yello to rising talents shaping the future of the scene.

Under influential aliases including L.S.G., Paragliders, S.O.L., The Ambush, and others—as well as under his own name—Oliver has explored and defined a broad spectrum of underground electronic genres.
His work spans techno, trance, house, and ambient, all while developing a signature sound that is instantly recognizable and deeply respected.

With his releases, DJ sets and guest mixes on shows like Transitions, Tronic Radio and GEM FM he continues to cement his position at the cutting edge of contemporary music remaining a true original, a creative force and an inspiration to many.

In addition to his studio and stage work, Oliver now offers in studio and online courses and mentoring as well as professional mastering services, applying his decades of technical expertise to help other artists achieve polished, release-ready tracks.

Starting from our first release in 2012, we have remained uncompromising in our commitment to the unique sound of the underground and also to the support of our artists, and have since gained worldwide support, hosting label nights across the EU, attended by newcomers and die-hard Darker Sounds fans alike, who are happy to travel for hours just to hear our artists perform.

However, as global tensions and temperatures continue to rise, its only right that we reflect this by moving in a harder and faster direction. Darker Sounds is set to dominate once again, forging ahead from 2023 onwards with a new concept for our output. 

We will ONLY be releasing stripped back "pure" techno, mixed with our notorious Darker Sounds pitch black style. Dark, heavy, hard and driving...............no funny stuffs...........135BPM minimum.

Ive Had a passion for music since the young age of 6 when i first started playing the drums, i then moved onto spinning the wheels of steel at the age of 16. Having Played on various circuits with various genre's in and around leeds & wakefield i then moved into the digital side of music. Discovering a strong Passion for Techno And Likewise Genre's (Minimal,Tech House.electro,drim n bass,dubstep,trance) Along the Way. Allways striving for new sounds i decided to move into production and Since Have Never Looked Back.

I like almost anything with a beat as long as it sounds the good old cliche "good" then i like it, allways breaking them down picking sounds out of them as i find most music has some inspiration hidden somewhere for all, and because of this I sometimes find myself Experimenting with Genre's and intergrating one into the other. Some of my Movements are a mixture of almost dub step and techno focusing the Percusion on a stepped vibe and the bulk on a techno vibe which has been known to have interesting results. This is just one of my many experiments i attempt and have many other idea's for the fourth coming future. I Also luv the 4/4 Kick and allways try to reach new and fresh sounds like no other each and every track i create.PUT SIMPLY I feel i am here to push music forward and make it more beneficial for all individuals involved and passionate about the evolution of musci itself.
