MOTHERSTRUKTURES

New Orleans guitarist, born and raised in, and lifelong resident of, the Crescent City. Toured with Cyril Neville's Swamp Funk Band, Dr. John, Maria Muldaur, Boz Scaggs, Wayne Cochran & The C. C. Riders, Twangorama, Stanton Moore, Mighty Sam McClain, Joe Clay, The Rockabyes, Johnny Adams, The Dixie Cups, Marva Wright etc. Many years of recording, gigging and composing have established him as one of the top veteran players of the area. Raised three children who are professional musicians; oldest, Annie Clements, graduate of Berklee College, toured as bassist and harmony vocalist with Sugarland for seven years, now with Holly Williams and Amos Lee. 21 year old twin sons Austin and Tyler Clements play bass and drums respectively and are garnering attention as two of New Orleans' finest young players. Both also compose and produce.
   Cranston's debut CD "What's the rush?" is a collection of his original guitar-driven compositions, with both ensemble and solo guitar pieces. Three tracks feature Austin and Tyler. 
   Cranston appears on Cyril Neville's recent release "Magic Honey", a CD which fully unleashes Cyril's potent Blues roots. Cranston is also gigging and recording with Louisiana Inferno, a Cajun rock quartet that features Brandon Miller, a virtuoso accordionist and vocalist of the French Acadian tradition who is equally at home with high-energy rock and Zydeco.
